  1. I think Mark Crossfield did a review a number of years ago on the launcher irons. IIRC he really liked them and for someone like Scuba, with a short backswing/reduced clubspeed, I think those would work great for him.

  2. Loved the video! Im a Ping/Cleveland guy as well. I game the G410 Driver/5 wood/4 Hybrid, and use the previous generation Cleveland Launcher Irons. Scuba Steve should definitely consider switching to these irons, they've shaved a lot of strokes off my game and help me get it up too! 😉

  3. Randy. Do your dad a solid and clean his clubs for him. Video the amount of grime that comes off those things, just don’t touch his snorkel… #ScubaSteve

  4. Whoa! That was close. For a moment there I thought we were gonna get a Basic Instinct moment when they went to the shoes. 😂

  5. Great setting Randy. Funny thing about the Hybrid SS (btw SS is a great graphic on some new shirts 😎) is using. I bought the same 4 hybrid many years ago…maybe 7 years? It was used and cheap from a local Edwin Watts store. Has a senior shaft and looks bad but I can hit that thing pretty well. I have since upgraded a few hybrids with stiff shaft and adjustable lofts but there is something about that fixed senior shaft hybrid that just works for me. So I always compare my new tech hybrid to that old school Adams V4.
As always I enjoyed the video!

  6. This has to be the first time in a long long while that I feel comfortable with my bag setup. If I could change anything would be to have Cobra come out with a 3-17° T Rail iron style head to go with the rest the set.

  7. Great for you to mention you are sponsored by Bridgestone before saying you like their ball. I’m a huge fan too, and great to hear they sponsor you.

  8. Interesting what’s in the bag. But what I really want to know is what were those rocking chairs? They look great.

  9. I love how scuba is ready to go and Randy sounds like an 80 year old getting out of the chairs 😂😂

  10. Awesome vid!! Your father son dynamic had me laughing out loud throughout!! Same jokes I'd be doing on my dad 😂😂😂

  11. “Floppy Drizzle Stick”, “Fluffy Mics” “Shake it” and a whole lot of upper thigh. Randy transitioning into a smut channel…

  12. I love the channel but there no drivers or hybrids hit, for a company to send you all any I know you play golf else where but your channel is about going across the pond also your putting long tee in so maybe there will be a need for a driver

  13. Dude I use the same Nikon cool shot pro stabilized. This is my 4th season with it and I also love it. I have always had shaky hands and it helps tremendously. It picks up what I’m looking for very well too. Reliable. Downsides are that I don’t think the slope algorithm is as accurate as it should be. My regular golf buddy has an old school bushnell. The big kind that takes two hands. The bushnell adds and takes away more yardage than mine does. And I believe his to be the more accurate conclusion. Sometimes my cool shot will only add like 2-3 yards and his will add 8-9. It will seem obvious that the Nikon is not accounting for a drastic slope. I’ve sometimes wondered if this is a hazard of incorporating a “gyro” inside the device. Maybe it confuses the slope finder by augmenting what flat would be. 🤷🏻‍♂️ … Second, when light conditions start dropping in the evening, the display digits become far too bright. So bright that you can not see the target. Now, you can lower the brightness. But, you literally would have to lower it every single time you use it because it resets itself every time it turns off. And the cool shot shuts off in like 7 seconds or something. It’s very fast. Probably to preserve battery life. But it’s too much of a pain in the ass to lower the brightness every time. Just not practical when trying to quickly finish a golf round. So when it starts getting dark, you’re just kinda screwed there. Anyway, if Nikon improved on those two things it would basically be perfect in my opinion. Even now, I love it and it’s just easy to use. You do have to learn how to use it and get used to the way it operates because you have to tap the button first but after that, it’s the easiest to use out of all of them in my opinion. Cool videos fellas! Also, I have a backyard chipping green myself. About 40-45 yards. It’s bentgrass (other shit mixed in) and I use a manual push reel mower and trim the edges either with a string trimmer or a Makita battery powered grass sheer. Generally hit it with the trimmer and every few times I’ll get down and sheer it. Top dress it from time to time. Nothing like yours, more like a tee box or fairway 🤣 I can putt on it but it’s not like putting on a proper green but I’ve been tending to it since the lockdown when I first made it and it brings me great joy. Sometimes I even neglect it for weeks. Always comes around again. It enlightened me to the mechanics of making a golf ball do what I want it to do. Kick left, right, etc. because I’ve just been able to hit 1000’s and 1000’s of shots. There was a moment when I suddenly understood how it actually works and it was an amazing feeling… It’s a lot of work, even for a rinky dink ghetto chipping green like mine, but it’s damn worth it. Best regards.

  14. This was awesome – the banter between you two is hilarious. I am sure anyone who is a regular watcher of your channel, could show up at an event with you two and it would be like you were part of the family. Thank you for making these videos and sharing your time with us. So many laughs and fun watching – thanks again! Hoping Scuba Steve can make some changes to his bag that allows him to get it up more easily 😀 Best part of the video was the very end – OMG Oh yeah 😳

  15. Glad to hear the matches are still in Scuba’s bag. I’ve since taken the box of matches I had out. My practice has moved on in the past 4yrs.

  16. OMG…….. somebody needs to edit that visual of Scuba Steve covering up the SHAFT of his Drizzle Drape Stick….. LOL.

  17. Have you guys ever considered doing a golf video on an actual course? Love the backyard course videos but seeing you guys play on actual course would be cool.

  18. I feel the same way about my golf equipment. Sure, I'd like to be able to buy the nice shiny clubs with the big brand name. Realistically, my cheap clubs are fine for how much I play.

  19. Should do an annual Beverly’s Hills Open. 4 rounds, all 11 holes per round. Change hole location between rounds ( thursday-Sunday). Make it a 4 part series. Don’t have to film it all in one day, might even be better to wait for different weather conditions. Just an idea

  20. Dang. You guys are a hoot. I’m going to subscribe and I am picky about that. I also rock a number of Ping items such as 3w, 7w, putter, G425 driver, and have a hoofer bag I occasionally use.

  21. I’m the same with the look thing. I play the G410 through the top of the bag Driver; 5w (set strong so it plays like an angry 4 wood); 7w and also have 3, 4 & more recently 5 hybrids in G410. 3 hybrid interchanges with the 7 wood but the 7 wood has kept out of the bad for the last two seasons. Also moved from Mizuno MP20-MB’s to the Ping i230’s which are just insanely forgiving! Moved from T20 wedges to Glide 4.0………….so a Ping man nowadays save for the Putter which is a DelMar or Odessy Black Series 2 ball, have recently found the face insert works well with the ProV1x Left Dash as a firmer ball.

  22. The Ping boxes are in the mail, Randy, lol. BTW, I'm shopping for a new golf bag and am wondering if a 14-club top would be a blessing or a curse. My current bag has 8 slots and only 3 full-length dividers, so the clubs do tangle, but I like returning a club without having to look for the specific empty slot. But it's hard to find anything but a 14-club top these days.

  23. Great video. I had a set of Adams hybrid irons that were 5-6-7 hybrid and then 8-9-Pw more traditional but still had big fat soles on them. I didn’t need clubs like that but they were sure easy to hit and made every round more fun especially the days when the swing was not quite there. Thanks for the video guys.

  24. Yasss! Love the i230s!
I think Scuba Steve could hit them as well
I used to play G425s and I notice no drop in distance or forgiveness!
You will also see a huge increase in distance control, dispersion, and height (more traditional loft)!
