  1. Took mine out to the course for the first time today. I bought these on a lark earlier this week. They do spin up nicely. Compared to my SM8s they are somewhat similar. In regards to at least the 56 and 60, they are really good for what I need them to be and comparable to pretty much any premium wedge. Are they better? No and the lack of adjustment hurts them, but for my game they seem to be adequate. And at 180 bucks the three clubs are cheaper than one premium wedge.

I agree with the gapping issues. I am used to 50/54/60 and 52/56/60 means I have a potential issue in the 95-110 yard range now. I haven't hit enough shots with the 52 yet to see if there is a real issue but I suspect that my old 50, which was a 95-105 yard club normally for me, will be longer in general than my 52. That means I will either have to use my PW in that 100 yard range or pull a club to keep the 50 degree Vokey in. Or just get a 50 degree SM9 to replace the 52 in the Kirkland. We will see. Even if I replace the 52 with a premium 50 degree wedge the others would make the total cost worth it.

  2. I was gonna ask, what do you mean when you say you originally took your version 1 wedges out of your bag for “gapping reasons” at 8:15

  3. Thanks for the tip. I found a set at my local store. Of course I had to try the 4 pack of gloves and new balls too. Killer deal! The wedges feel great and the ball like you said in your other review is VERY durable (no scuffs at all after one round) but yeah I lost a little distance too compared to Srixon XV and Maxfli Tour X (~$25/dozen). More drastic on driver; ~95mph swing speed. I also stripped the obnoxious red Kirkland logo off the wedges; look sharp.
