  1. Why do they keep thinking the Liv golfers want to be on the PGA tour? Johnson Mickelson and Koepka all 3 Said today at Valderama they were NOT interested in rejoining the PGA and Inferred that LIV GOLF wasn't going anywhere just going to Grow. This is about a Tenth of the story it's Being Made out to be.. so Far It's All Conjecture except what I heard this morning from Johnson Mickelson and Koepka.

  2. PGA needs PIF money. PIF wants the PGA brand and access to corporate sponsors. PGA will handle day to day operations, while PIF is the primary exclusive "partner" in the shadows directing how they want their money to be used.

  3. If the deal is totally scuttled, the PGA tour will still be on deaths door bleeding cash. Therefore, this opens the door for PIF to straight up buy the rights to the tour. I feel like this has been their plan, because they have very cleverly made. Jay look very foolish this whole way through.

  4. Let's leave LIV's future in the hands of vindictive players, I do not think so, it's nearly as bad as the hatred coming from pundits who hate LIV, stick to informing the public of the true facts and not using your platform to vent your own wishes….. because if you upset the Saudis and they pull out and the PGA will be left in a very bad place

  5. How can people believe that PIF would allow the LIV players who supported them to be penalized in anyway.

  6. Not just the players. The fans seem to have quite a bit of weight too. I am not feeling it with this Saudi Arabia fund.

  7. It seems odd that people keep saying it is the players tour and they were never consulted and have no idea what is going on. "IF" is the magic word right now.

  8. These days Im way more interested in the LIV tour than the PGA tour. LIV (I watch on Youtube) is highly watchable. PGA Tour broadcasts are about as exciting as watching paint dry.

  9. Eamon Lynch is a doddering old troll who needs to go back under his bridge. He talks about morality yet supported the IRA.

  10. What is so irritating to me, is how Greg Norman muscled his way into the biggest picture in Golf and tried to take over and reshape Golf to be what HE wants. He has been on this mission since the 1980s. Golf was better when the Europeans played on their Tour, and the Asians played their Tour, and the Americans had the PGA Tour. There is too much diversity in Golf now. Its just a BIG mess.

  11. I wonder what Greg Normans opinion is. We have not heard from and he was the cause of all this disruption.

  12. PGA tour is going down a slippery slope if they ALLOW PGA tour members to determine the fate of LIV. I can see splits or lawsuits surfacing. PGA Tour cant get rid of LIV like that (not in USA). Wont work. PGA Tour is stuck with LIV or equitable treatment of those players under a merger like this. PGA Tour is in big trubbblee

  13. IF is not just in the hands of the players, regulators in America, Europe, UK Asia will have a say. It seems to me the players have a deluded view of their worth. They look at other sports and the compensation forgetting Monday night NFL games bring in 23+million viewers not 2.4 million for PGA event. While PIF have money, ultimately they are astute business men and are simply not going to throw money at rich sportsmen without an appropriate return.
Simply saying “growing the game” does not make it happen. LIV by the end of 2024 will likely have spent around $2,500,000,000 with no business model on the horizon and no revenue. Even the Saudi’s must be questioning the merit of that spend. The PGA Tour sponsors are not prepared to fund the elevated events prize funds so where is business plan explaining how this new world is self sustaining? Golf is not NFL, Basketball, Soccer, it’s niche game attracting a higher net worth audience but still a fraction of viewers of big sports. When the agreement is finally nailed down I hope a business plan is published along side to show it makes sense.

  14. Why is everyone thinking that those who took the job with LIV need to be punished financially in some fashion? The infusion of future investment by PIF in the PGA Tour / DP World Tour should provide an overall increase to the proverbial wallets of everybody that plays. Seems that those who took the Risk of going to LIV should be allowed their reward. Those that passed on the LIV offers for whatever reason, passed on the opportunity as well. Seems there is a sense of exacting angry revenge on those who risked and were rewarded by those who were 'sold' that staying put was somehow a better option.

  15. For how long will the Golf Channel continue to outright shill for the PGA? Will you ever do a bit of objective reporting on this matter?

  16. Lynch is clueless….why is he still employed by GC? He and Shamblee should make their own channel and they can scream at the moon….

  17. Pgat players will vote to have a way to move up and play on the LIV TOUR.
Liv players don't want to come back to the pgat.

  18. LIV Golf seems to be in an equally powerful position, but their players seem to have a healthy relationship with their tour executive. They have just announced LIV Golf Andalucia, so they are ramping up their activities in Europe. This is a global golf union and the agreement will be a balanced equitable solution.

  19. 😂😂🤭🤭 not a chance … PIF / LIv is doing the voting 🗳️.. or it’s all off $$$ no bag 💰 for you mr.moneyhans pga tour !!! World golf liv e tour .. is the future !!!

  20. I do not understand the constant concern over "How would the LIV players return to the PGA?"
Why in the world would any LIV player want to return? They have a better schedule and better money. All they want is to have access to the Majors plus continue to play on LIV. So all they need is OWGR points. Nothing else. Once LIV gets legitimacy (and it mostly has that now given that the PGA has dropped its moral arguments), LIV sponsors and OWGR points will be right behind. When that happens, a LIV player has no incentive whatsoever to return to the PGA.

  21. A vote against the PIF agreement is a vote against income. Monahan has already retracted any moral argument. Tour players will vote their wallets in the hope that PIF money will accrue to them the way it did for LIV players.

  22. One notes that the new CEO, Jay Monahan, is apparently not part of any ongoing agreements around how everything is going to be resolved, LOL.

  23. Nothing to object to? So there is no moral objection from any of the players to Saudi money bankrolling the tour? I'd say it would be a bone-saw of contention for some at least.

  24. Ya bought me luv golf hoodie for nostalgia figured it was over they got the PGA what they wanted

  25. 😂😂😂😂😂 oh I get it, the people with no idea the deal was happening have "the power". Don't think so Eamo…..

  26. Quit the BS!!!… you 2 know nothing about what is going on.

  27. Hey Phil, Have you shown Any more Dick Pics to any tour players wife’s lately? 😂 WTF dude.

  28. If players can play 14 tournaments and the majors and have 38 weeks off why would you not? Especially when your tour has given up all of the leverage.

And the alternative is simply go play for LIV

  29. PGA tour has full control of the game and the Saudi spend lots of money for golf, and has no saying in how it is run. What kind of bussiness model is that. You are either think the Saudi is completely stupid or PGA tour tries to say americans have no brain. Either way, it is not going to work.

  30. This guy is drinking the same special potion as Brandel, if this falls over PGAT is dead, as LIV will just lift the money, the players will have no loyalty now, PGAT has already sacrificed their power of 9/11 and moral ground. This is all over the Saudi's are now running the show. LIV or whatever it is called will be the premier events 8-12 a year while the PGAT and DP is left whole. There will be no punishment of players moving back and forth it is probably illegal anyway under anti compete for contractors. The players who did not go to LIV did so of their own volition. They will get a % of newco and therefore will be focussed to seeing it succeed.
