I couldn't believe it when the Leafs got Murray from the Sens after how he played in Ottawa. I guess the discount Ottawa gave them helped, but it seems that Dubas was really trying to do something for his ol' buddy. And that Brad just said they have 3 good goalies is laughable.

Unless Kerfoot agrees to pay the Leafs 1 million per year to play for the Leafs, then i see nothing that this player can offer. He’s tiny, can’t hit the side of a barn, is far from being a defensive gem, and gets swallowed up whole during the playoffs. He has fleeced the organization for millions of dollars in the past few seasons. He must go!
Leafs made a huge mistake. Shoulda fired Dubas and hired "Trader" Jim Benning and Travis Green instead of Sheldon. Missed opportunity IMO.

Mathews doesn’t wanna win now. He wants to get his money now instead of winning. Simple as that, you can’t have both in a hard cap. Leafs will have zero money to build around the core four , and the core 4 can’t get it done as we’ve seen the last 8 years. No winning will be done here.

Shemp, Curly and Mo forget that Murray had an 11-5-2 record and .917 save percentage before he went down in mid-January. (Uh, remember his historic 44-save shutout at Dallas?) His most recent injury was the result of a cheapshot, but nobody in the GTA media had neither the balls nor brains to state the obvious.
Canadian teams account for more than 30% of NHL revenue. Calculate what the salary cap is for all 32 teams combined.
30% plus goes to the 7 Canadian teams to split up and the rest goes to the American teams to split up. Also the Canadian players drafted only need to be signed after the same number of years as everybody else.
