Tradition is important but I think there is more to determining the ND culture than what 17 year old football players think is cool.

Look guys, I'm a seventy five year old white dude who watch's you almost everyday. I was lucky enough to be friends as a freshman with Bob Whitmore and Dwight Murphy, two great freshman basketball players and two of only seven or eight African American's on campus. You are talking about the culture most white people tend to hide from. Many of those who claim to embrace it somehow are often more afraid of you two than I'd every be.
That is why I can say, it is the authentic culture of a black person who grew up in the USA and knows how to navigated the total culture they have to live in, while retaining some of the underlying culture the separate black community has.
Intellectually I understand. In actuality I understand I'll never know, and I'm actual glad.

I hate to correct you every show, multiple times, but, the new hire is director of college recruiting. Shad Bowden is director of recruiting, and he has a staff. I don't know how many, and have been asking IB in South Bend to find out. I know when they had a big 2024 visit day Chad Bowden had at least six young guys out there all dressed like staff members. More are definitely needed, if they are good!
I snorted at your Crocs commentary today, gentlemen. I substitute teach (at the school where we had and then lost a 4 star LB a few months ago – thanks Laurinaitis) and Crocs are everywhere. In fact, my son, who just graduated, wrote his college entrance essay comparing himself to Crocs & his essay was so novel, he was accepted to his first choice school within 48 hours.
