  1. IDK the purpose for the letter, or what JM hopes it will achieve, but I do understand how fund raising works.

Charity is an excuse for raising money. It is not the "reason" for it. There are professional fund raising companies every where we look, and every single one of them turn over the absolute minimum amount that they must, by law, and not a penny more.
Each one of these organizations has a CEO, and a board of directors, that are all handsomely paid, for the "work" that they do.
We donate to companies, that donate to other companies, that donate to a cause, that sits in a bank account, to be dispersed, at some later date, by someone else who is also being paid for his time.
No laws are broken as this money is legally sliced up at every stop along the way…
Leaving very little money for the actual cause.
And it's all tax exempt because it's for charity, after all!

  2. The PGA Tour is a corporate racket just like the NFL claiming to be a non-profit organization for tax purposes while many people around their organizations are becoming multi-millionaires. The PGA Tour's argument that this is about charity is more shenanigans aimed at total control of the golf money game.

  3. This is no different to any brand in the business world. These Oil State’s are buying assets and setting up new brands from Motor Sport to Football, from Golf to Tourism to provide some continuity in the post Oil world for their Family Wealth and National Incomes. Of course the countries being pillaged should worry about it and consider action. As a Man U supporter I hate the idea that a Family as “nasty” as the Glazers can destroy my club. The Arab families involved are no different they care nothing about the supporters/fans, it’s a business !!! Governments must develop a strategy to defend our assets or suffer the long term implications and loose control of key assets of our Nations !!

  4. Anyone crying about Saudi Blood money needs to do a little research. First research the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. Do a little digging as to what companies make up that portfolio. A lot of AMERICAN companies. A big one (and please feel free to fact check me) is EA Sports. Who's on the cover of a PGA EA sports video game you ask?! Nike boy Rory himself! I'm sure he enjoyed those EA sports checks (press free mins you). At the end of the day- the "Saudi Blood money" is unavoidable. Too many morally backwards | spinless people like Rory duping simple minded people. What's the term for calling out others for the same things you're doing yourself?

  5. There was no atttack. PGA/Monahan appeared to scream blue murder, when all that happened was …being invited to an extension of the PGA tour into a world format (stemming away from 100% USA). So what? This was no threat and PGA's running to congress automatically asks why has Monahan not taken care of it himself and was the Liv litigation ever going to be fair? hmmm… Is PGA a charity?… or a front for something else based on its behavior and let down of its own members (scapegoating). Monahan had his chance to merge but took the high ground, failed, then blamed everyone except himself. He is not welcomed in golf anymore by so many. It is lucky that PGA can still operate with his involvement and favor towards blaming and propaganda. Not good…

  6. There is so much wrong in this letter:-
    1) Golf is not an American sport (how arrogant) it came from Britain, is Soccer an American sport? Baseball and Basketball are American sports
    2) Where is the DP tour in all of this?
    3) PIF are interested in golf as a global sport hence why LIV was in many countries.
    4) Typical USA – as soon as “outsiders with cash” appear they run to govt asking to be protected when they run a protectionist tour with player constraints….the same happened when BP wanted to take over Mobil Oil and congress used Exxon to defend them.
    5) PIF May allow the PGA tour to continue in USA but will develop the rest of the globe to the benefit of true global players.
    6) it is a letter that is trying to make out that the PGA tour have won when there is no real evidence of that.
    7) it is a letter from the PGA tour and not the new organisation.
    8) Jay does not realise he has just written his own resignation letter….

  7. Dude, you seem like a nice enough guy, but your ability to mispronounced and misread words is amazing. 🤔

  8. I'm wondering what happens to the Majors? Will they eventually go away? They are not run by the PGA. And the LIV tournaments and the elevated events in the PGA already payout more then the majors. And will probably get even more money starting next year.

  9. Dude you need to learn how to read! The words you mispronounced like divisiveness not diverseness and geoPOLITICAL not geographical have an important meaning to them! Your subscribers that are not watching but listening to your mumble mouth reading should hear the correct letter as written is important! Get it right next time and do a little prep. Respect your subscribers.

  10. I think it’s another one of Jay Monahans BS trying to put the burden on somebody else
If he would have approached it in a professional manner , things might have been might’ve been different, but he always looks for a scapegoat to be his argument. Not a fan of his. As a result, his left a lot of people hung out to dry, and in my opinion, he needs to go. I would never trust him again. 😢 a reputation is all we can protect in my eyes. He lost it long ago

  11. I didn’t think I would EVER say this but I am through watching golf. LIV ruined golf as we know it because of MONEY. The best players left the PGA for blood money. Exchanging money for friends and fans is terrible. They turned their backs on all of the people that made them rich beyond imagination so I cannot stand to even look at them much less support them.

  12. Hi smithing up for discussion ,perhaps , it might not be a starter . I have been a golfer for 30 years and a perennial problem is slow play and now I am well into my senior years I find that players take little notice of the 3 minute rule for finding a ball in the rough
so could with modern technology a ball be manufactured with a chip to make it findable for amateurs only ? T C

  13. Never, never try to justify your past actions. This makes one look like they are hiding something or are guilty of something. Jay needs to go. He screwed up to begin with caused the split.

  14. The PGA should have never been allowed to be a non profit organization. They rival some of the other fake non profits who spend the majority of their revenue on employees. The same PGA Tour who has been causing the demise of the DP Tour swallowing their elite golfers. Now Jay’s seeing a threat to his job and income level and we all know he will be rewarded handsomely joining the Saudi organization. He is no different that greedy Wall Street in selling out American interest for profit. I said it a week ago. US government regulators are going to scrutinize this venture and may not even allow it. He keeps giving evidence to opposition to the merger.

  15. Frankly, I find it amusing that the Americans are claiming the game/sport of golf as a purely American thing.

  16. It's my guess that in three years the saudis will own the PGA completely. So much for "minority" partner

  17. Dozens of underlying issues. Golf money mostly comes from corporations who call it advertising. Much goes to charities because of volunteers. PIF will use its oil money. Either one can use money to control results, but the PIF reports to a King! Who reports to Allah. Pity a gay or, Allah forbid, a lesbian pro. Where is the R& A? Where is the headquarters to be? How will leadership be chosen, governed, compensated? Don’t expect Dylan Mulvaney to become a marketing act. Do expect burkas in the gallery. Professional golf might not survive the invasion of the aliens.

  18. WELL AS ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MONEY WHAT DID MONAHAN AND CO DO WITH ALL THIS MONEY BEFORE LIV CAME ALONG IT NEVER WENT TO THE PLAYERS DID IT JAY GOLF IS GOLF AND NOTHING WILL GHANGE IT
