  1. The rhetoric here is soooo amusing…neither tour will be successful unless LIV actually get sponsors and Tv and PGA don’t lose what they have….neither are succeeding here all while the market is losing interest in the events

  2. Wondering if us Joe Q. Public folks well be able to buy into the team sponsor teams…that would be interesting if the online betting sites will figure out how to sell that….

  3. I have heard Cam Smith talk about “HE” his excellency calling him prior to the announcement.

  4. Nobody can be too smug about any of this since it is not a done deal with the potential for a long delay before a deal transpires (if at all).

  5. LIV is a cherry picked group of guys playing exhibition golf. Good for them they got paid, but if LIV wants to grow, it will have to turn into an entity exactly like the PGA with qualifying requirements, feeder tours. The first generation of LIV players are the only ones that will get fabulously rich off it. It's the golf version of The Line, the idiotic Saudi scheme, def destined to fail, to build a city in the desert. If LIV is around in 10 years, it'll regress to being just be another tour.

  6. Couldn't care less who plays where. Took up watching paint dry when the LIV shit started and realized it's way more exciting than watching or listening to millionaires moan and complain about how they're being treated.

  7. A show about these guys talking and yet not piece of tape of them actually talking? Fooled me once….

  8. The tour players that didn't go to LIV lost twice! They should be pissed and those who took the risk will win twice.

  9. I am a huge LIV fan having gone to 3 events in 3 countries thus far, I hope LIV thrives but I would like to see it become appropriately functional/compatable with PGAT/DP/Asian/Sunshine/Korea/Japan/Australasian tour. I do hope it becomes a top star tour of mega events, with 10-20 personality stars like Phil, Bubba, Louis, Poulter etc being guaranteed starters, but that it does take in and rotate a number from PGAT's top 30 from the world tour (or by invite of team captains). Played as 8/12 super events would be awesome, going back to 72 holes to take out that carry-on for OWGR, but 54 players via shotgun probably is a workable compromise. The 8 events should be OUS, which also spreads the season better (as LIV does now, taking advantage of Singapore/Thailand, Australia, South Africa and the middle east to not load the june-aug window), the 4 US LIV events could replace current US events. I think it would be sad if they are too separated, does not make a lot of sense to have LIV events in the USA and PGAT. The LIV concept and 90% of its innovations, such as teams, shot gun, merchandise, corporate franchises etc all are awesome, but it should be the elevated level of the tour rather than a separate entity splitting the best players until the majors.

  10. I still would love to see 9 teams of 6 …… representing GB&I, Europe, Africa, LATAM, Oceania (Finau as an occasional ring in to represent Polonesia), Asia, Northerners (mix of Canuks and US from Northern climates like Oregon/NY/NH), Stars and Stripes (potentially California and Florida based squads). Of the 6 teams, there are 2 locks in each, captain and vice captain for a 2 year term, 2 based on OWGR and 2 Captains picks. You could stretch as far as 72 (up to 12 teams) and still do a shot gun that too could be an option. As an Australian my tip for Oceania team one (Smith-C, Scott – VC, Leishman, Day, Finau & Fox, with reserves and rotated to include MW Lee/D Lee)

  11. Why would we go back ? Perhaps because the LIV nonsense will pass into history after 2023

  12. I am guessing that Jay M. used all his power with the TV networks to basically keep LIV off any major tv networks.. I am guessing with this new agreement LIV ( If it continues to live ) will get one of the major golf networks to broadcast there events.. LIV is definitely targeted to a young audience, but if I keep the sound low I can watch LIV on my computer. It's sad that Jay M made such a war out of this new and different type of golf. Many of the top players could have been a part of this type of team golf if J.M. had not told all of his players that he would Lifetime Ban anyone joining LIV… I believe if it played out in the courts Jay M. would have lost on the Lifetime Ban case.

  13. They are going to come back….the Saudi's are not going to keep throwing away millions on the CW that no one is watching. They want major network coverage of their sports washing and they'll see they get it.

  14. On one of the PGA pod casts that said LIV would be good next year because Jay was in charge. I had to laugh they say what they hope will happen. Jay is gone and I told them in two years LIV will be what everybody is watching. Can’t wait till Friday I work as a Marshall at a golf course in KC and majors and LIV are what people say they like. The team concept is great PGA trying desperately to copy LIV

  15. WELL I WATCH ALL THE LIV GOLF I CAN PGA IS BOARING HARDLY ANY TOP NAMES IN COMPS AND THE STILL WIN YOU KEEP IT UP GUYS LIV IS RIGHT FOR YOU AND ME FAN BIGTIME

  16. mainstream media are so out of the loop. B Team just nailing it this week. i can't watch any other golf pundit channel..they are clueless. Is Tiger quiet because hes been talking to Greg??? Could that be whats coming next??? Tiger joins Liv haha 🙂

  17. By the way, I was at the Yankees game tonight where the pitcher threw a Perfect Game! How rare now that it is rare that a pitcher throws a complete game.

  18. Phil Mickelson is one of the most articulate of all legendary golfers, his recent experience dealing with complex politics will make him an ideal trustee or statesman for the game in the future (should he choose to take on such a role). I'm particularly pleased that he answered a question on the seemingly shocking treatment of Henrik Stenson by the Swedish Golf Federation.

  19. The PGA 'released' the Agreement of understanding, in defense of the fact that Rahm, was very, very close to leaving for LIV, and the PGA needs CASH, I am assuming Jay hates, yes hates Greg, ergo let's not mentioned him at all, ie snub him in the release document, appreciate your thoughts….

  20. I can't blame them for "not wanting" to go back, but it doesn't answer the question of "will they go back" later on when PIF shuts down their financial support.
Now that PIF owns the PGA, I'm sure they would like those guys back…
Can LIV stand on their own?
It is clear that they can't legally get players from the PGA or the DP world tour anymore, so PIF support seems to be somewhat wavering in the face of LIV's future recruitment abilities.
I sure hope they saved some money because the PIF, bottomless pit, and the "LIV" logo, could be next on the list.

  21. STILL this is taking a huge bribe from murderers plain and simple accept the fact!full stop ! then go play your games .

  22. Liv only have a few world class players and down the line will have less and less. Liv will need to keep buying in to stay alive………who cares. It’s all about quality viewing, hope that prevails👍👍
