These two created something very unusual in wrestling; neither was a heel nor a face. They weren't a "bad guy" and a "good guy". It was the company man every kid wants to grow up to be VS the rebel every teenager wants to grow up to be. One of the finest rivalries in modern wrestling history imo.
John and Phill weren't the best of friends, but they respected the hell out of eachother, they knew the chemestry they had in the ring and always gave everything they had to entertain us, two of fhe greatest right there.

CM Punk and John Cena iconic rivals, their rivalry was so memorable, I will never forget the summer of 2011, the epic WWE championship match at Money in the Bank in Chicago is my all time favorite wrestling match, whenever they wrestled they had good matches, brought the best out of each other, they were polar opposites, one was the face of the company, the other was a outspoken rebel.
At the start of 2023 I played the WWE2K15 showcase mode highlighting their rivalry and it felt like a trip down memory lane ❤

One day I hope he can somehow mend fences and finish his career in WWE. Main event one night of Mania and get in the HOF. AEW fans don't deserve him. The way they turned on him for something they don't really know about, rumors and hearsay, it's a damn shame. Everyday I read so many hate comments towards Punk that would destroy me mentally if I were in his shoes. The man is a legend close to the end of his career and people shit on him instead of giving him his flowers. Breaks my heart.
