GOLFING WORLD EVEN MORE FURIOUS at the USGA and it’s ALL because of the Travelers Championship!

The whole of the golfing world, including the players such as US Open champion Wyndam Clark, golf fans, golf members, golf players and the golf press and media are all furious at the USGA. The US open was a shambles and this is exactly why.

The Travelers Championship showed LACC what a real golf atmosphere should look like!! But how was the tournament run, what were the attendance figures, what was the overall feedback on the golf tournament? There is a LOT to go through and a lot of headlines following the traveler’s championship!!

This video has some major breaking news and major golf news that you need to know! The attendance figures are ridiculous especially compared to the US open. The us open is a major event and Matt Fitzpatrick, Wyndam Clark and a lot of other professional golfers had the same opinion!

Matt Fitzpatrick did not hold back in an interview about the US open and the US open atmosphere. We recently saw wyndham clark win the us open but rickie fowler and rory mcilroy came very close.

  1. You're right, and I also think there's more drama in golf than I previously thought. Rory said this, Phil said that, LIV golf vs. the PGA, the ball goes too far, slow play, I hope we all don't become drama queens. God help us!!

  2. Elitists in LA cockblocking the riff raff from entering their world… ithink of Gandalf… "thou shall not pass!"

  3. Been going there for over 30 years. They have a great amphitheater around 18 green that alone fills up more than 50k. They had rock climbing etc. pre pandemic they had a concert post round 9n Saturday.

    Thoughts on Rory’s comments?

  4. It's elitism, they don't want us hanging out in their backyard.
    The leftist elite.

  5. I don't understand what everybody is so worked up about, LACC showed us why you shouldn't hold a major event in LA. It is and will be made exclusive.

  6. I'm ready to watch a great Championship. THE OPEN! YEAH. THAT WILL HAVE SOME ATMOSPHERE.
The Travelers had better.. way better atmosphere. Congrats to Bradley!!

  7. I'm not sure LA fans would have showed up anyway. During the Lakers reign the Forum would not fill until about the middle of the 2nd. quarter. Of course, you are correct Alex golf needs an all encompassing product to draw in young fans.

  8. LACC really blew it. Watched it on tv and you could clearly see there weren’t many fans. They shouldn’t get another shot at a major

  9. Although the Travelers had a great atmosphere, the days of -20 tournaments needs to end. I mean Keegan was -26 at one time. Make these courses harder please.

  10. I live close by where this tounament is and I'll tell you this – always a great turnout, this course is always pristene, ( I call it Augusta North). Crowds are always awsome! Great to see our local guy Keegan win! Glad you took the time to compliment TPC River Highlands Alex 👍

  11. It's sad considering we have so many great courses to choose from. If L.A.wants it, let them make the course more friendly to spectators, which is probably not possible given it's layout. Most Americans would rather see a new course get added, I believe. They like to repeat courses for historical reasons but we should change it every year to show off our not so well known gems. There are dozens of them. We have the open on courses that no one other than members or pros can ever play. That seems wrong.

  12. I went to the US Open that Thursday. I have been to many major. championships, but this was the worst experience of all majors I have been to. On most holes, there was simply not enough space to see all of the golfers play even though only 23,000 tickets were sold per day! In addition, the atmosphere on most holes was very tame. The spectators were too far away from the greens to get any notable noise. It was just an all round terrible event. (Congrats to Wyndham though)

  13. Golf is brought to you by The blood and death of the victims of 9-11- and Money, if you want your entire life to be about hypocrisy get yourself some money and make it more important than you're soul💰 Well be back with more of the Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi Golf Classic, right after these messages from Fox News 🫡

We here at LIV Golf just want to say The 911 Victims can't LIV anymore so let's go make some MONEY💰🫡💰

We got wrestling we got Golf….. who's next? 😶💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

  14. The solution is simple. LACC should never be allowed to host not only the US Open, but also not allowed to host any PGA, LPGA or Champions Tour event, period. Problem solved.

  15. You make some fair points. For me the TPC travellers championship course is beautiful, but at this level it's chip & put golf. The course is too easy for these golfers.

  16. All these Karens complaining about atmosphere missed out on a great performance by two golfers at the top shot identical scores in rounds 2, 3 & 4 of 67, 68 & 70, with the difference in the final outcome being a 1 shot difference in the 1st round as Clark shot a 64 and Rory shot a 65. This kind of shot-for-shot dual at this level hasn’t been seen since Watson & Nicklaus dueled at Turnberry. Too bad you Karens missed the real story of the United States Open Golf Championship, the amazing golf, and are carrying on about atmosphere and kids give aways. The USGA is plenty involved subsidizing kids golf programs all over the country. The US Open is were the focus is on golf at its highest level, with the exceptional play being the notivation for kids…. Just like it is in other sports. As an 8-year-old, I was changing the channels on the tv and stop at a golf tournament broadcast. I knew nothing about but I was hypnotized by what I was watching, which was Lee Trevino defeating Jack Nicklaus in an 18-hole playoff to win the ‘71 Open at Merion and a few weeks later I watched him win The Open Championship. Because of the golf I saw on tv, I was so motivated to want to learn to play that golf was all I talked about. Then a few days after watching Trevino win The Open Championship, my Dad came home from work with a starter set of clubs for me. No fun zone giveaways or carnival rides at the course to distract me from watching the best players hit great shots. It was the golf that worked its magic on me, as determining the best golfer is what any golf event is all about and jids who are interested in gilf know that. If you want to see windmills and a guy making animals out of balloons, go to a miniature golf track. The kids that get the golf bug don’t have to be entertained with all the fluff you talk about, as the kids that want to play golf are intent on being the next Tiger. Have you ever seen an 8, 9, 10-year-old at a national junior golf event or at Augusta’s Drive, Chip & Putt event for juniors? Those kids take the game as seriously as pros do.

By the way, one of the very best US Open performances was Bryson DeChambeau’s 2020 win at Winged Foot where became the 1stand only player to finish under par for any Open ever played at that brutal layout. Bryson finished at -6. So you remember what was so unique about that Open? Because of the pandemic there was no gallery and yet that Open was compelling. The US Open has a way of identifying who is serious about the game, both among players & fans.

  17. I read that LACC has 800 members they each had 4 tickets ….That still leaves 1300 that the Damn country club took ….LA is a weird place, fake people living in the past

  18. In Brookline last year the tickets were 8-900USD per day almost 4 grand for a family of four, untenable. Most of the tickets for that tournament went to corporate as well. Corporations don’t care about the price as they can write it off their taxes as they are entertaining their clients.

  19. This is the trend, in sport! Take a small event, in car hill climb, called the Goodwood Festival of Speed. In the beginning it was all about enthusiasts, both drivers and teams and "petrolhead" audiences! Health & Safety was secondary to the spectacle. People were there to see the cars, roaring up the hill. Thereafter, the "me to's" took over. "I was at the FoS!" "Me to!" Did you watch the hill climb?" "Hill climb?" "Was there a hill climb?" This is what's happening in sporting events today. People, with no interest in the sport, are getting tickets to the event and real enthusiasts are losing out!

  20. I'm willing to guess that it was a similar story at the Country Club in Brookline. The USGA did not do a good job of advertising when tickets were going on sale on a Sunday morning to the public. After that the ticket prices went through the roof. I'm a USGA member and according to the USGA they gave notice of the sale. I never saw it and I was on the "List" for tickets. Face it when the US Open is held at a private club the members don't want the general public there. Unlike when the US Open is held at say Torrey Pines or Bethpage.

  21. Those that are entitled, $$$, like it that way. Many courses would rather charge $$$$$ for a few players rather than $$$ to expand their presence, there’s always an exception. But even the expensive courses have waiting lines, so why worry about the little guy. It’s all about $$$$$$$ bottom line, period. Little guys, sorry.
Fortunately, I have a few friends who have two nickels to rub together and have been and seen places that are unbelievable. Like playing at Daufuskie Island, SC; I had no idea. A golf course with me and one other person playing. There is so much that most will not experience, it’s just the way it is. By the way, when he upgrade his clubs, I got upgraded, his old clubs. My friend has passed away, but he left me with an understanding and experiences I will cherish. So no I can’t go to this tournament or get a tent pass, get used to it.

  22. I noticed pro golfers patting down lines to cups, this isn't real, usga needs to fix that….

  23. This is what happens when people forget golf is a NICHE sport! No one is paying 200-300 for ticket to watch golf! Big miscalculation by the USGA! I guess Phil was wrong after all, and golf wasn’t making all the money he claimed!

  24. I completely agree. I’m 38 and a returning golfer having not played since around age 20. Despite the politics surrounding it I actually think LIV has been what golf has been missing since I last played . It’s exciting and is bringing in a new audience to the sport on a global scale. Similarly everyone loves the stadium hole at Scottsdale and for me this is what we need more of. Yes heritage is important, but in my opinion sustainability and evolution of the sport are far more important. The overall atmosphere on the day benefits both players and spectators. Another great example is the Aramco Women’s events. They have lots of things to do throughout the day which add to the overall experience of those attending for the day.

  25. the LA people at that club are made up of prima donnas who were not going to allow the great unwashed to dirty up their golf course some higher ups insisted so the members bought all the gen admish tickets and just assumed that was that so when it looked like no one showed up on the tube well the shit hit the fan, good!

  26. As a Brit would like the US open to be held on the east coast so that i can watch it!!!

  27. You have first to understand (or explain) what kind of club it is… it is a multbillionnaire destinated club!!! How a club may be so rich? And … per say…. Snob!!!

  28. Was at the US open at Pebble in 2010. Although it was fairly affordable it was an absolute zoo, if you were in the crowd you couldn’t see a thing. Swore I’d never attend another major. Probably would have enjoyed this years better. I’m not a fan boy, I want to see the best players in the game hit the shots they have to at a US open. At Pebble that was not the case except during the practice rounds.

  29. Its California do expect them never to mess up a great thing? Other than fitting my my sleep schedule it sucked California sucks

  30. Who cares. I stopped watching golf events when the powers to be allowed a dozen spectators to move a "loose pediment" so Tiger Woods could have a clear shot to the green…a two ton loose pediment.
