I think Rick Shiels could learn something from Peter Finch.Slow his swing down and stop trying to hit the ball so hard.Pete has such a lovely rhythm.
Possibly need to lose a bit of ego , matt fryer same , obviously decent players but most of the tour pros are more humble, dont get to carried away with self, become more at one with golf and the scores, rounds and journey will progress more

IF, I break par I'll blah blah blah. If you were a real competitor you would enter. But you're not, you've got to play these childish games of "if I do this then it is ok for me to give myself permission to enter the Open qualifying." Don't bother Peter you don't qualify for completely different reasons, none of which you will ever understand.

Go for it Pete, live the dream, just try go in with no expectation on yourself, worst case it'll create some more brilliant content for the channel, best case you get into the Open!!! you're playing well enough, it was just an unusual 7 that dented your confidence mid round. But you know what you're up against now and can work on those thick rough shots around the green before entering. Great learning experience for the real thing! We are all routing for you!

I'd love to see you qualify just to shut Guy up. Do it. There's soooo much more pain in golf than pleasure, if you can handle that you'll be fine. But if you do enter, DON'T film and tell as few people as possible, you don't need the added pressure.
