The only two I ever wanted back were either Brendan Rodgers or Martin O'Neil π
Savillecorp should apologise to all those innocent wee boys who just wanted to play football.
What about when he gets smashed at Ibrox letβs how the rat gets on
Celtic fan here. Brendan has nothing to apologise for. He was immensely successful in his first stint and headhunted by (at the time) a good PL club.
Whilst both Celtic and Rangers are huge clubs in world football, the league they play in isn't a long term deal for quality players and coaches sadly. Thats just a fact, but I'm delighted he's back π
Rodgers, very good coach with a very questionable character.
Not wantedπ
Simon I really feel he respects Martin so much. Mind you Martin does seem such a lovely guy
As Celtic fan I donβt want to hear fake apologies just tell us what the vision for future is whatβs done is done move on letβs see us progress in Europe
I think he did a good job at Leicester. Barring injuries they would have been top 4 for the majority of the time he was there. FA cup….but not sure what happened this year. Questionable signings and a lack of them. Schmeichel leaving didnt help. And definitely a few players not playing to the levels they were at in previous seasons. Obviously not bothered if the club went down….none of them called out. And of course they will get a move to another decent club.
My opinion is that brendon came so close to winning the PL with LFC that he feels he can do it with the right club, I guarantee he will leave them again as soon as a PL club comes back in for him, I'd even venture a guess and say it might be spurs if things don't work out with their new manager or Villa, maybe even a Brighton Chelsea or Brentford.. you just know if any of them come calling he will leave Scotland again and I feel its because he wants to feel that high you get when you're pushing for something in the PL.
We don't want an apology. That's people trying to stir things because they know he'll be a good manager at Celtic.
πI don't think Brendon should apologise but I think he owes an explanation to the Green Machine. They are ultras and therefore our most important fans. I actually believe they should be consulted whenever a player is bought or sold. I'm happy having Brendon back though and I think a CL final is on the cards πππππππ
He too good job Leicester he won cup
Sir Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber π― Facts
The green brigade πππ grow up
We also Recieved Β£9million for him.
Martin O'neill is wrong, the leicester team he had which won 2 league cups was nowhere near the best Leicester team. The best one was aside from the 2016 side was the one in the 60's under Matt Gillies when they won the league cup and got to multiple FA cup finals and narrowly missed out on winning the top division (top until 4 games to go) and ended up finishing 3rd. They also finished 2nd pre WW2
Itβs a backwards step thatβs for sure.
Doesn't ow anyone an apology
If your not english your not getting any praise at all from these guys lol
Its like having a normal job. Leave for more money. If it doesmt work out your old job might tske u back. No diff in being a manager and doing same thing.
Simon in a sense is right why apologise if youβve left to further your career. I think the point is, the timing of Rodgers departure upset and hurt a lot of fans and to his credit Rodgers did acknowledge that today and admitted regrets over any hurt caused.
Shut up, fool. Let Martin speak
02:37 am i misremembering or were Celtic not literally going for the unheard 10 in a row and missed out after a dip in form when Brendan left?
Image apologising to your employer and their customers for leaving your job to get a better one.
When you say βextreme factionsβ you mean men with morals? And he addressed it when he said βI donβt regret leaving I regret how it made some ppl feelβ
Brendon was about win a 'treble treble' (says it all about the farmers league) at celtic, but walk away and joined a club that was, realistically a mid-table club at best ! I'd be fuming at Brendon's return if I was one of them glory hunters that follow celtic ! You could've had Sol Campbell and still won the treble !ππ
Brendan got absolutely nothing to apologise for he gave us 7 trophies in two and a half seasons
Left half way through the season when a big EPL team came calling, was then left with Lennon and the 10 in row was cocked up the following season.
Should have stuck around to finish the job, and I fear once he has rebuilt his reputation he will be off again once a big team comes knocking.
Would prefer someone that is joining with intent to stay long term, even if this changes down the line, rather than someone re-joining and already looking for the exit.
We donβt want an apology lol win league good run in Europe is all we want
What happens if another EPL club comes in for him in the future?
These Union Jack waving bastards really r spewing aren't they?ππππ
very true Simon but these tims have short memories, the chased their "hero" Lennon out, smashed up players bus etc, then they all cried when Rodgers left, now they all praise him hahaha, couldn't make it up
Martin had very successful spell at Leicester and was successful at Aston villa…but I think he enjoyed his time at Celtic the most……. English football isn't everything
