First, the guys talk about the selection of Ausar Thompson with the 5th pick in the draft, analyzing his fit and who he beat out in the selection process. Then, discuss Troy Weaver’s decision to trade up and select Houston guard Marcus Sasser with the 25th pick in the draft. The guys share if they feel this was a poor use of assets by Weaver and what the addition of Sasser means for the guard rotation moving forward.

Great podcast guys, loved your opinions on the picks. Lots of (casual) fans don’t like the idea of drafting another “guard” with the fifth pick when he can ultimately play the wing. Ausar will be great.
Two great things happened last night Detroit drafted to quality defenders and the Blazers signaled their rebuild. Giving Detroit a clear track to obtain Grant.
I think Troy had to jump Denver to land Sasser. Nuggets have been targeting experienced CBB players, and there’s a slot right behind Murray that needs to be filled.
Pick is trash needed Taylor Hendricks
I don’t really see Marcus Sass as a threat to Killian. I see him more as a long term upgrade for Co Joe.

Ausar bring pressure on the other teams 1,2 & 3 to releave pressure from Cade & Ivey. He blocks shots and gets alot of steals. Best athletic defensive player in the draft how can anyone that do there homework call this pick trash or bad. Will be in the running for DPOTY one day.
