In our first full live golf lesson here at Swing Quest, I take a mid-handicap player through his paces, fixing a high vague ball flight and turning it into a consistent penetrating trajectory. This also covers how to take a divot with the golf swing, and how to get more consistency with your irons.
To help with these changes, we’ve teamed up with Hackmotion to track wrist angles and make sure Jacob is getting the most out of his practice. To learn more about Hackmotion and to unlock a discount, make sure to check them out here: www.hackmotion.com/swingquest

Awesome video and loving the detail that Hackmotion provides, would love to see Jacob's progression down the track.
I've never noticed, when playing with mates, what the wrist angle is at the top. When you stopped Jacob at the top, then he made a swing, it was really obvious when he was extending…. Great breakdown, and I reckon usable at the range. ๐๐๐
I wonder how it would go with my left hand grip on right-hand clubs ๐ค
Cool idea doing these live lessons. Like it ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Pete, love the content. Be interested to see you do a similar video with the big stick. Taa!
Need more vids like this
Brilliant video. Excellent switch up of content. I got down to 18 fairly quick and grabbed a lesson. I was told my grip was too weak and was encouraged to incorporate a stronger grip to increase ball speed and promotion of a draw, so this video is bang on the money for me. It felt horrible on the course, and I reverted back to my old ways. Thatโs all my fault. This has served as a lightbulb moment.
This is so helpful, thanks!
Great video love the insights and use of the tech
This looks a god tool , always been plagued with too much extension , it's bloody difficult to get it down to reasonable level
Also a little cupped is better than bowed imo
Lots of cricketers have this problem , the 2 games aren't compatible , but hey ho , keep at it Jacob
Good video Pete
Really like the new information driven format ๐
Oh Pete! 20min lesson vs 4min quick correction. I miss the shorter ones ๐ข
Was trying to do the ironing while watching this, dog was looking at me funny as I kept stopping and taking practice swings! I need a job at Peter Finch media to get these priceless lessons.๐
If this is what the channel becomes, you will gain another subscriber in me. Absolutely brilliant gents
If this is the future of Swing Quest, then i all in! Brilliant video. My wife caught me doing random wrist movements afterwards, which took some explaining!!
Subtitles came up saying "Pizza Finch". This makes me happy. There has to be a slice pun in here somewhere.
very very good video lesson a lot of the points you make explain a lot of what im doing wrong will definitely take this to the range thanks
Awesome video
more of these please, what be great to see the progression of all the podcast crew ๐๐
Great video guys ๐ quick question on setting the wrist angles; can you set the flection in the takeaway with pressure in the meaty bit if your palm? I took this from Porzak golf YouTube channel
Excellent insightโฆ useful ๐ค
Awesome lesson, quick question with the lower ball flight an increased distance does it effect the ability to stop the ball on the green or does spin increase with this strike?
Bit of a naive question here: Can the takeaways from this video be applied to my woods/driver? Great content on this channel btw absolutely loving it.
This is so good. Don't think I've ever played with an amateur who doesn't extend too much – me included! The Spiethian over-exaggeration drill is the only thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow. Even then, when I watch video back , I'm a bit extended. It's a process.
Great video
Do you have anything for people who are maybe the polar opposite? LOL.
I've got VERY stiff wrists, always have. Shallowed out my swing path nicely but because wrists are so stiff block everything out to the right. That'd be interesting!
This is exactly what Iโve been working on for months. Really helpful to get advice on what to feel and some good drills. Thank you!
Great instruction and tool to use. I tried it but it is really difficult for a high handicap scooper. thanks Pete for sharing this instruction.
This needs to bevdone eith a coach. Peter, this video is so dry
Thumbnail (at a quick glance) looks like you're giving Matt Fryer a lesson! ๐๐๏ธโโ๏ธ
Fantastic video, guys! I truly think the channel needs much more of these one on one type practice sessions! After a couple more practice videos, maybe take Jacob out for a 9 hole course lesson implementing the new swing changes?! Great job, Jacob! The smallest change can be truly difficult!
Can a non pro decipher the data from hack motion?
I have lower back issues. However, when the back is feeling flexible, I play this way. Something that maybe wasnโt mentioned isโฆ. These wrist positions take more hip rotation, and right side bend to hit it correctly. You CANNOT stall out the body. This will result in a major hook. Get the hips open, and add some right side bend through the hitting zone. The strike will feel amazing, and the launch angle will lower.
Bravo. Great vid!
This is an incredible video lads. Speaking as a person who has recently redeveloped a 35 yard slice ๐
Man, to have a 1 on 1 lesson of this quality. Stuffy of dreams
That was so enlightening, guys. Thank you so much. Straight to the range. โค
Really liked this long form Swing Quest video, and JAcob did a great job!
Indoor doesnโt count. Gotta be on grass outside
I paused at 10:46 and it was definitely cupped despite the intention to bow it. It's SOOO damn hard to get this!! Golf is so impossible.
Yep that was perfect, well done.
Love seeing Pete in his natural environment of coaching. More like this.
More of these please ๐๐ผ, whatโs your address, Iโm coming over?
