How To Get Fit For The TaylorMade Stealth 2 FW Woods | TrottieGolf

Al Geiberger Jr is back for more with part 2 of his TaylorMade Golf Club fitting.

The conclusion of the LIVE fitting is here as he gets dialed into TaylorMade Stealth 2 Fairway woods. Gapping on the TrackMan radar is critical for any fitting and especially the Fairway Carbon Woods.

Watch on as Al and I make some key decisions around why he should use certain head types and how the loft sleeve can benefit him as a golfer. Capturing confidence at address via the face angle and optimizing the perfect flight for the job he needs the club to do.

  1. Trotti can you give us the final specs? What did you turn the forward down to? Is he playing the plus I’m in the same situation

  2. 277yd carry with 4 wood and 255+ with 5 wood. Oh my. I was a big fan of Al Sr. Nice too see Jr got game too.

  3. Another great video Trottie, I am a TM staffer but am not familiar with the 4 wood from TM. Is this a Stealth 2 4 wood head or an older model 4 wood that Al is using. I actually went with the Stealth 2 plus 5 wood with the weight forward in the garage to simulate a 4 wood for this season. The way you decipher the "gapping puzzle" is always very cool. Keep up the great work !

  4. Love the insight on these videos but is it possible to get the players a microphone so we can hear them just a little better? Keep up the good work!

  5. He mentioned that the 3w is usually a tee club, why not hit it off a tee in the fitting? Would get 280 easy

  6. Hey Trottie – how different are the 9X Al was hitting and the 8X? I ask because I was fit for the 9X in my Stealth 2+ 5w but it was built with an 8X. I assume the 9X is difficult to get if you are a regular person vs someone on tour. I haven't hit the 8X club yet (frozen and snow where I live) but wondering how differently it will perform. The 9X was "magic" and reminded me of another favorite shaft – the Pro95X that I played for a long time.

  7. I notice half a swingweight almost immediately. Not that I can’t get use to it or play it but if I play d4 through the bag it’s pretty easy to feel the d3 difference or even a touch more.

When y’all changed to the new 3 wood I could feel the weight difference to previous years before I ever hit a ball.

Stock 3w heads have been 207.5 208g for y’all in recent years. New one is 209 209.5.

  8. Great content as always ty, love the fitting, Strong 4 ,standard 5 I believe, you can definitely cover the bases with that Combo, and your getting unbelievable stopping power ,which matters the most, take a chip or extra putt off the card!! The man can play with a broom stick to be honest lol, Athlete!!! Great choices Chris very well Done!!

  9. Great vid. Again!!! On the path 8,9 from inside. Is that too much? Still hitting down -3,8 with the 5 wood. Impressive

  10. My dream would be getting fit by Trottie at the Kingdom! I would just let him do his thing and take all his recommendations.

  11. I did not know of anyonre that would say a 5 wood at 260 yard is not long enough. Found one with trottie

  12. Haeggman is from my hometown of Kalmar in Sweden, I am a member at that course and I believe he still is as well!
Stud he was in his prime for sure.
