  1. I know you just LOVED editing that Boylen shot in the intro ‘Mal, totally nailed the sentiment of the moment! 😂🤣

  2. That 2008 Boston team also had Rajon Rondo, future HoF player. So winning a chip with 4 HoF players ensured that Doc Will have Job for another 15 years. And that 15 years he became the top choker, blowing multiple 3-1 and 3-2 leads, while almost Always leading a contender.

  3. He's just old school basketball 😂, that never updated his cellphone

  4. Doc had good talent but not enough talent to get his teams over the hump. That’s not his fault, fire the GM.

  5. I don’t think Doc is a bad coach necessarily. He’s consistently in the play offs (a lot of credit goes to the players for that but still) I prefer to consider him a really really really overrated coach. He’s been riding the legend of that 08’ Boston run for the last 15 years. I think he’s be a good fit on a rebuilding team. He’s a veteran player and coach so I think he could be a great motivator for getting young players adjusted to the league, not a championship contenting team

  6. I fully agree but never underestimate the mavericks willingness to make bad decisions, wouldn't be surprised if they get doc at some point in the future

  7. He´s good at coaching unterdog teams when theres no pressure and he can motivate a team of young and relatively unknown players. I could see Doc coaching an up and coming team like that, maybe even the Magic again, that would be pretty cool.
If he would be interested in that at this point of his career I dont know though.

  8. I think maybe Houston or Milwaukee will probably take a chance on him. Love your vids bro keep them up!

  9. doc rivers over rated
he was just lucky on the celtics because of pierce garnet and allen

  10. there was a guy who made a video that said doc is a great coach, in the sense that he raises the floor, but lowers the ceiling. I think he is great for turning organizations around in the regular season, but in the play offs, he cant get it done

  11. Mistake #1– adding Paul George who is not a big game player. #2– adding James Harden who is definitely not a big game player. See games 6&7 this last round.#3– most important reason not adjusting to Jason Tatum in game 7. He didn’t coach in the moment. Tatum was open too much. He kept having Embiied guard him alone when clearly he was too slow.

  12. Doc is the king of riding one major success to multiple undeserved opportunities. A crackhead could’ve coached that Celtics team (with four Hall of Famers, mind you – Rondo will eventually make it in) to a title. Especially with Thibs’ adjustment making that season.

  13. The Sixers are a crappy team they just make terrible decisions i can go all day pointing out their failures they are destined to be under achievers going all the way back to trading wilt Chamberlain they are just not a good organization

  14. In 2008 Tom Thibodeau and Kevin Garnett were the coaches that let The Celtics to that title.

Doc’s finesse game is very strong

  15. Doc's gotten so many chances because of that ring with the Celtics. If he had taken any other team aside from the Lakers to a title he's probably under scrutiny way faster. 15 years of title or bust years where you only bust with the talent available and most teams wouldn't have made him a head coach after around half that time.

  16. Doc is a great floor raiser but terrible ceiling raiser.

Aka, great without expectations making the best out of nothing. But bad with talent with expectations. It's a weird profile.

  17. He’s been coasting off of the KG and Ray Allen trades that led to one Boston title for fifteen years. He’s really quite average as a coach.

  18. When it comes to the NBA, I think a lot of coaches are overrated. Gregg Popovich doesn’t look like a genius at the moment.

  19. I think he gets another NBA head coaching job if he wants one. That said, I'd like to see him go to a young team where he can teach without title pressure, instead of playing psychiatrist to the superstars.
