Mit den ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring (18. – 21.) steht der Höhepunkt der Motorsportsaison auf dem Nürburgring auf dem Programm. 136 Fahrzeuge umfasst das Starterfeld, über 200.000 Zuschauer werden am Rennwochenende rund um die längste permanente Rennstrecke der Welt erwartet. Allein 30 der mächtigen GT3-Boliden von Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG und Porsche mit einer exzellenten internationalen Fahrerbesetzung kämpfen um den Sieg – vielfach mit Werksunterstützung und Piloten aus den Werkskadern. Gigantisch ist auch das Rahmenprogramm mit historischen und aktuellen Rennwagen sowie unzähligen Attraktionen im Fahrerlager und rund um den über 25 km langen Kurs.

Wtf is that Porsche doing, he just turned into the Lambo like a rookie.
Both cars made the contact – Porsche moved a bit to the right – and the Lamborghini even moved to the left, as you can see in slow motion. But Lamborghini could avoid it by leaving a bit more of space.
What the fuck is the Cayman doing? There is absolutly no reason for moving to the right. I don't know how it's possible that there are such unskilled drivers in the field although it is quite hard to get the Permit for racing on the Nordschleife…

Funny to read the reactions. First this is not the race but the qualifying and second the Cayman is driving in another raceclass as the Lambo.
The speeds are high and there are bumpy parts in the tarmac and the drivers have to decide in a split second.
The Lambo had enough place at the right and moved more to the left as the Cayman moved to the right(if that was the case it was minimal).
And if the accident didn't happen, the GT3 R had enough place to pass the Cayman at the left in the same time.
I wonder how many people that react have ever driven on the Nürburgring for real instead of sim racing. 🙂

And that ladies and gentleman "racers" on public sessions (TF) is what's happening when you overtake on the right! Remember it and don't do it!

Watching it in slow-mo, the Lambo moves abruptly away from the rumble strip to the left and collides with the Porsche. They either thought they were clear or had lost control a little. Or both.

Cayman needed to pick a side and stay there. Running the middle and making unpredictable moves caused the contact. Turning right on exit is as unpredictable as it gets. He had to know the Lambo would be moving toward him.
