  1. Agree with Chappel saying Harris has done nothing. But Bancroft? He was a kid when he first made the team and was showing promise until Warner told him to grab some sandpaper.
He completely fell away a few years ago when he was dropped from the WA side, but has bounced back and is the best opening batsman playing Shield cricket.
To write him off already is daft.

  2. Duckett has faced 800 balls and left 7, while Khawaja has faced 3200 and left 2400 deliveries. Khawaja has made … a f*rkload more runs than Duckett.

  3. I think they’ll favour Neser over Boland because of his experience in County cricket.

What would be good to see is the selectors taking a risk and choosing Neser and Boland over Starc and Hazlewood in the 1st test at Edgbaston so we can test them early.

  4. You’d want Woakes on a fast bouncy moving pitch at Edgbaston when he’s at his most dangerous, no?

  5. As an Englishman I have to say that Chappell is the best pundit and I've been waiting for this video. And the future of test cricket needs an exciting and thrilling Ashes series this year otherwise the flood of franchise cricket will totally take over.

  6. Everyone talks about Crawley not averaging much, worth remembering that last summer Crawley averaged roughly 21. All of the foreign openers combined averaged… 21. Opening in England is not easy, and unless one pair does particularly well, it will not be the difference between winning and losing.

  7. If Hazlewood is fit should definitely play ahead of Starc who might go for plenty looking at the approach of English players. Starc went at 6rpo against India who weren't even looking to bat that aggressively

  8. Stop hyping Warner he hasn't got a 💯 in England or India in multiple tours. Surely they can find a better opener than him

  9. Yay. Great to see excitement building for Cricket again! Makes winter more tolerable. Scheduling is a mess though. I blame the Test Championship. Would love to have proper tours again.

  10. Eng will win .
Aus has only one great batter in Smith ,so tough to win
Aus bowling attack is very good .

  11. OZ too woke for bazzball. England 4-zip. If OZ must pick Stark for his wicket taking capacity, then they must pick Boland. They won't, because although captain woke himself admits Boland is his favourite cricketer, he'll pick Hazelwood. Cummings has never really been tested as captain. I expect this will be his baptism of fire where cricket OZ will be looking for a new captain. Broad v Warner should see if Warner is on an early flight. I'll be devastated if no gonad wokery beats bazzball. OZ need to keep the cuddles and kisses in the bedroom and come out angry to compete.
    Just saying!

  12. Englishman here. Good luck Australia. Welcome to England, as any Aussie should be. Best Analysis from Chappelli as usual. May the fight be hard, even bitter, and to the victors are The Ashes. I think we're all in for a treat.

  13. Christ if you listened to these 3 you’d think England had zero chance. Can’t wait to see collective tails between legs.

  14. Ians gettin old obviously… that he still is talkin cricket is good….although grumpy hes generally on point.

  15. We can't be defending david Warner outside of aus.

He literally can't score runs outside of aus his whole carrer. Even against some of the weaker nations he can't score runs outside of aus.

This isn't an on off thing it's his whole carrer.

Warner should not be playing in England against England ever.

  16. He said both openers coming in having hit slot of runs, lol. Warner has been historically bad. Remove one innings and he has barely hit 10 runs. I would ask Ian Chappell who could be any worse. Hell I'd give it a go, maybe I'd edge enough through the slips to score more than Warner.

  17. Chappelli’s analysis is on point. Condensed schedule is madness and its due to the rubbish that is the hundred. Really wish they’d throw that away

  18. Good to see Chappell back into it – man amongst boys on this panel (O'Keefe seems like a good lad tho).

  19. I can't believe the schedule of this series, all down to the T20 rubbish. I'm sorry but the Ashes is a 100 times more important than some white ball franchise nonsense.

  20. England team are very much in the game, chasing above 270+ not going to be fun. Now Aussies must work hard really hard to win this test match 🙂
