PING have got themselves into a HUGE MESS…but they aren’t the ONLY ONES…

WHAT is going on…. I don’t know how this is the case! This is the NEW most up to date list of 2023 of the BEST hybrids of 2023 as voted for by beginner golfers and high handicap golfers. This list of the best hybrids of 2023 is very interesting and has some huge surprises but the biggest issue is that PING have a major problem with their new models of hybrids.

PING are a major brand in the golfing world but are usually targeted towards mid to high handicap golfers… When we think of hybrids we think of Taylormade, Callaway, PXG, PING, SRIXON, MIZUNO & COBRA. These are the Top 5 Forgiving Hybrid’s For Mid to High Handicappers of 2023 and top 5 hybrids for beginner golfers and high handicappers of 2023.

  1. For now, the icrossever is the most surprising iron I found… I have no clew how it is so good! It becomes the most reliable club in my bag!🤯

  2. Hope you realize that specialized golf clubs by hcp or any other category is a marketing gimmick… 😂

  3. Mixed bag is the way to go, PXG 0211 5–pw, Taylor Made full face wedges, Ping 425 three and 5 wood. Ping 430 seven and nine wood. Calloway Paradyn driver. Oddysee Tank 7 putter, forgot Taylormade 4 Hybride

  4. Never heard of the Cleveland halo🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ youre a golf YouTube channel ffs….great research there…very embarrassing

  5. If I was to buy a new set of clubs today ,it would be Ping. Why? Because of their Treatment of our wounded veterans.!

  6. I think it’s a sign of the times. People are not spending money. Inflation has caught up with the industry, party is over. Prices and profits will have to come down.

  7. I bought two ping hybrids used at a big box store. A Ping G25 5 hybrid for $20 bucks and a G425 2 hybrid (hate hitting my 3 wood) for $100. I got them because ping is known for forgiveness… have had no issues with them.

  8. I agree with the list. Cobra I would put ahead on Ping on these. Hybrids are getting pricy though

  9. I purchased a hybrid set of powerbilt EX – 550 irons. They were in the top 5 of a couple of reviews online. They were not that expensive, I can actually hit them, and my game has improved.

  10. Ping is the first place I look for when I want a new driver, and I have a Ping hybrid that has been in my bag forever and will probably never leave it. It's automatic from pretty much anywhere, and nothing I've tried has ever come close to kicking it out of the bag. Having a little extra forgiveness at the cost of a slight distance loss is a tradeoff I am definitely willing to make as a former collegiate-level golfer.

  11. When the Rescue Club first came out I think they were selling for around $125. My brother found a off brand small head metal 5 wood in a barrel of used clubs for $2.00. He hit the hell out of the ball with it, out of the rough, off the fairway and tee. He kept that club through an additional two sets of irons.

  12. You have completely missed the point The G425 Hybrid is as good as it gets! And to say Ping clubs are directed at the high handicaper hasn;t looked at the Blueprint, i59.& i525 irons plus many tour pros are playing the i230 irons. Finally, who came up with the top hybrid list I can't believe that Cleveland model would top any list!

  13. I use Callaway Diablo hybrids and recently got some PXG 0211. All are old and great. 15 handicap

  14. I use a Titleist 818 H1 21 degree hybrid, and I am happy with it.

  15. I still play the ping g5 hybrids and 3 wood. Man these things are beautiful. I love the 3 wood isn't a huge head and I seem to hit it so consistently 👍

  16. The elite professionals are paid $millions$ to put the new releases in the bag. Amateurs do not need to change golf clubs just because Rory does. Nothing, absolutely nothing, has improved performance for years. The best players to look at what’s in the bag are Legends or Champions tour players who have no affiliation to any brand and make up their set like an amateur should, and then stick to it. Simples 🤔

  17. Too late by a week, gents. I've never liked hybrids since they've started taking on the look of small fairway woods, instead of looking like the more original TM Rescue, Tour Edge Iron-Wood or PRGR 200i. Just traded in my Ping G400 hybrids, as well the one G410 I had as well. Moving on to a Ping 7 & 9-Wood instead. If I'm going to look down at woods, might as well be a REAL wood. 😂

  18. As a beginner and someone who just got their first hybrid. I ended up with a new cleaveland launcher. I tried out multiple clubs and it was the best for me. It also cost me $205 (Australian) where the new ping hybrids are over $500 (Australian). As a beginner I’m not going out and spending that on A hybrid while I’m still getting lessons and improving the basics.

  19. I’ve never gone second hand, I need .50 over shafts and my philosophy has been to get fitted so the only problem with your game is you. Buying new and getting fitted takes a lot of the excuses out of play

  20. i have the ping 3,4 and 5 g hybrid and absolutely love them and i'm looking for a #6 if i can find one at the right price. i've had the i25 irons for about ten years and last got the pgx 0211 which are nice but they go way too low for me. i hit a low ball anyway and the 5 iron only goes about 20 ft. off the ground but it does go further so i'm not sold on those. i'm 73 yrs old and a 12 hdcp.

  21. I'm still using a Ping G10 7 wood and Ping G15 5 wood. 10 years old and still going strong. 😊

  22. Cleveland’s latest hybrids are more forgiving than the ones you have listed. People hold onto clubs because the pricing has gone up and up. And most people know that the new product lineup isn’t dramatically different.

  23. I don't see the problem, I'm approaching 60, once played off 14 but after a race track motorbike crash I wrecked my hip and back and didn't play for around 10 years.

I'm back now and am horrified by the price of new clubs today. I'm building a bag on a budget on ebay, quite doable if your patient. So far iv picked up a PZG gen 5 0311 XF driver for £140, PXG gen 5, 0311 5 wood for £109, murdered out Callaway Big Bertha CF19's 6-SW for £185 and Big Bertha B21 4&5 hybrids for £135. I went Callaway because they are forgiving, reasonably priced and because I still had a Callaway bag, Versa putter and a mackdaddy wedge lying around. So far I've spent £569. I'd like a PXG gen 5, 7 wood and maybe another wedge, then I'm done. I fit right in your restarter/beginner bracket high handicapper who since coming back has shot a best of 92 and a worst of 122.

Long winded point I'm making here is my game doesn't justify the latest fitted clubs for a £2000 plus bag set up. For a little over the price of the New Stealth 2 or Paradyme driver I've filled a bag with recent quality clubs. Ping doesn't have a big problem because I was never going to come back to the game with £2000 worth of new clubs if I either didn't like playing anymore or couldn't play due to age and injury.

If I can get back down around the 90 mark, then I may treat myself to a fitted set at some point.

Again, I just don't see the problem for Big brands unless they keep pushing club prices ever higher. At that point even seasoned mid-low handicappers are likely to go the build a budget bag route.

  24. Last season I was playing used Slazenger Raw hybrids. I wanted to upgrade as my game was improving, so I tested RBZ stage 2 (2013) and SIM 2 hybrids at a local secondhand shop. I couldn't find a difference in distance, and only minor differences in dispersion, so I opted for the RBZ set. I've since broken 80 and feel confident enough with these hybrids that are laughably vintage at this point.

  25. Golf club manufacturers have lost sight of what they are doing. New gimmick each for advertising and sales rather than a commitment to improving the experience of their customers. It is as if the goal is to price people out of the game of golf. The level of greed on display in the industry is sad.

  26. Cobra F9 hybrids were the best I've ever played. I currently play Ping G410s. They're good, but not as good as the F9 Speedbacks. I've tried the newer stuff and I really don't notice much of a difference. I'll keep my older clubs. I have the F9 One Length irons and now that I've gotten older am thinking of just reshafting them to SR instead of buying new. They're in really good shape.
