In this video Ali shows you how a 2 second tip will add 30+ yards to your drives with a slight change at set up. Hitting up on the ball with driver is essential to maximise driver distance and so many golfers get this wrong.

  1. I’m 55 and have done this for years and consistently out drive my other player even w a slight fade . Still putting it out there at 280-285 for my age . Thanks for confirming to me my thoughts all these years

  2. I watched this video today and tried this on the course tonight. Wish I would’ve had time for the range prior but this technique really works. I and my friends were completely amazed. Hit some really good drives and farther even with the cooler temps. Can hardly wait until the weather is warmer and the ball travels farther. I even used this technique with my long irons.

  3. I incorporated your lesson with a stronger grip and OMG…what a difference! Adding 30-40 yds and much better control. Everything just clicked. A huge thank you Ali

  4. Are you focusing your eyes on the spot where the clubhead is rather than the ball during swing Ali?

  5. so i do a fine job keeping that front shoulder UP, but now I tend to hit the ground about 6 inches behind the golf ball because (leading to a "fat" driver shot) i've changed the radius of my swing. How do I fix this?

  6. I got 70 yard longer with this method… just saw Jon Rahm does the same.. crazy thank you heaps!!!

  7. Does anybody know what kind of golf tee he is using here? I need help with driver tee height

  8. im sort of a more proficient iron player but when it comes to driver i still have trouble. im carrying 278 yards but even my coach and i agree its not nearly far enough as my swing speed is 115mph on average. but i cant seem to increase my ball speed past 150mph and my compression is only 1.36 with 11536 average spin rate. but im confused as i have tried this but it did not change my distance at all. i estimate that i should be getting 300-310yards in distance for my driver as my 7 iron is 197yards

  9. I just started golf, on irons you should push yourself forward but for drivers you should keep your Weingut behind?

  10. Great video! That was a joy to see! This has really helped me remember a good driver swing! Thanks 🙏

  11. Great video Ali! I went in for a driver fitting this week. Discovered TSR1 gave me 15 yards carry over current Ping G. I was extactic until I saw on launch monitor that I was hitting 2.5 degrees down even though I thought I was hitting up. Club fitters solution was to move me to a lower lofted driver to take advantage of my downward strike. Needless to say I didn't get along well with this change. No purchase as my goal was to figure out how to properly hit up with the big stick before entertaining a club change. I saw your video and went to range and was very impressed on how this helped with strike and my ability to hit a draw. Thanks for the great tip! The quest for more distance conntinues!

  12. I played this at 1.5 speed and it still took too long to learn how to learn a 2 second tip. I don't know why these golf videos take so long to give you a 2 second tip. I'm not trying to be rude and the instructor knows what he is talking about. I just don't like the long approach to a quick tip.

  13. Really good done. Will practice this as from tomorrow! I have the inside out swing already but still not the length… yet… to avoid outside in path, I move the right foot one inch back and the inside out come more naturally

  14. Is it the Orange 2 n 3/4" or Pink 2 1/4"Graduated Tee's he is using? I recently change from Pink 2 n 1/4" to White 2" which is slightly lower but seems this is the opposite i need to try?

  15. 248 carry on your slow swing with this drill? I’d take that right now!

  16. This has to be tried out, no question about that.
But it is the longest 2 seconds I've ever spend… 😉
Perhaps the title should be changed…

  17. This is exactly what I needed to see. Thanks very much. It has made a huge difference to my game. Can you suggest why I would be topping my fairway woods and hybrids?

  18. I started doing this a few months ago. I also drew a straight line on the ball; when I tee it up I put the line about a 1/4 back of straight up so it makes me think “hit up” on the ball. Helped me a ton. Thanks for the great videos.
