  1. Why don't you just say Rory cheated on purpose and he's a cheat, thats what you said it took you a few words but its what you said, I don't like the word cheating, accidentally breaking the rules ok, penalty ok, but the word cheating is used too much. Not subscribing, sad video

  2. It looked like he moved his ball before the official could see the situation. She never got down into the bunker to do a closeup check of where the ball was. She just took his word that it was embedded. It doesn't pass the smell test.

  3. I normally really enjoy the content however calling someone a cheat without due process is harsh, comparing the PR incident at Torey Pines where a ball clearly bounced and RM hitting lofted iron full pitch into face of bunker is just not the same.. when PR did the I’d ball in Dubai he ID’d a ball in the wrong tree.. every pro golfer on the planet will use rules to their advantage some calls maybe morally wrong.. but I watched this in real time, and again since watching this and the ball definitely looks plugged, as it’s not clear the ball appears to be sat with equater lower than surface however this could also be how the roots of grass have created a hole not the surface.. the moment the rules official says it’s ok then the emphasis is off the player.. it’s not often I say it about your content but this is very click bait adjacent..

  4. I CLICKED ON YOUR VIDEO FOR ONE REASON AND ONE REASON ONLY . DON'T CHEAPEN YOURSELF BY USING CLICK BAIT TAG LINES TO TRY TO PROMOTE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I don't think it was cheating. The rules official made the call. If embedded the ball would have had dirt on the ball plus a minor impression. Since the impact was at the side wall of the bunker, I was surprised the drop was not within the hazard area. The lie was worse than the sand. The problem is Rory plucked the ball to identify it and the official was not able to observe if embedded or not.. Rory took advantage of the rules and the official gave him a pass.Interesting situation. The USGA needs to clarify the "procedure" when calling on an official for a ruling.

  6. Think of the power imbalance between Rory and the rules official. Tell it like it is he bullied the rule official to give him a free drop.

  7. So you have no idea what you’re talking about. Every statement you make is “i believe”, “maybe” , might “. But I’m glad you can tell watching tv better than the official on site. And then you proceed to tell us the condition is impossible to happen because it hasn’t rained. Water sprinkler?? And reed wasn’t the same. You saw his ball bounce. Rory’s didn’t.

  8. I want to trust these guys on Tour and hope that they are playing/proceeding with 100% integrity. I'm with you on this one…I just can't imagine a ball penetrating all of that thick grass and EMBEDDING in the earth. Im going to assume that this is one of those situations that all of the guys on tour just accept and that they would all do the exact same thing.

  9. Im not a Rory fan and sometimes don't like him, but he didn't cheat. He asked for the rules official and he got a favorable ruling, now if he actually picked it up himself then it could be viewed as cheating. Some people just let their emotions and bias get the better of them.

  10. Lord man! There’s no cheating scandal here! You were mixing embedding ball and unplayable ball rule throughout your presentation. The ball was embedded, period. First of a doesn’t have to go below the surface to be embedded. You made a lot of “l believe” statements. You’re wrong in most every one of your beliefs. Why didn’t you ask the USGA for their interpretation before you even started this thread. Absolutely you can get an embedded ball in any grass. 😂 It’s a good thing that you’re not a rules official, anywhere. Intentionally cheating; Rory! No way! Leading the official? Ball couldn’t be embedded.? Again, a both ridiculous claims on your part. Yeah, you’re are saying he intentionally cheated. BS

  11. His intent was to gain an advantage in a situation where he knew his ball was dead. I.E. he cheated. He took advantage of a female official he knew never would have told him to play it as it lies. Funny how quick he was to accuse Patrick Reed, then does the same himself.

  12. No one will ever accuse Rory of cheating or even coming close to cheating…however, look at this in context…like you, I’ve played Torrey 100 times when I lived in San Diego…no way his ball embeds there…I agree with you…and if it did embed, not on the angle he pulled it out from the grass/face…he pulled it out almost ground level! With his height, that thing is coming down at a 60 degree plus angle…I never played LACC (and never will) but I’ll take your word about the situation. I found it odd he didn’t put the ball back in the place where he pulled it from, but rather had the official reach in to where he pulled it out of and poked around from what I remember…Now, add that to what he did at Riviera with his driver…he showed up, saw they were testing drivers, and decided not to use his driver because he “knew” it wouldn’t pass…many Rory lovers have stated he said he didn’t think it would pass…but, if you go back and read what he said, he said he knew it wasn’t going to pass, so he didn’t use it…AND NO ONE BATTED AN EYE!!! And his driving stats went off a cliff for a while after that…

  13. Cheatings is willfully breaking a rule. He had a rules official and asked for clarification and got it. I don't think was trying to gaining an unfair advantage only the relief he was entitled too.

  14. I saw the same thing. LACC gave Rory a Rory break. The big question: was the ball closer to the hole? Looked like it.

  15. She felt down in the hole to see if it was just grass or went down into the dirt…that's what she ruled. This is stupid.

  16. Sorry man, he knows it’s not embedded. That’s perverting the situation for your perceived advantage. Whether cheating or just plain unethical, that’s not what golf is meant to be.

  17. It looked to me like it was embedded. When he stuck his finger into the hole, it was over an inch deep.

  18. The Scottie BS was muchhhh worse on 7. I hate almost all of the free relief pros get, but an embedded ball in a bunker lip always gets relief. Like I said, 7 was so much worse

  19. listen this isnt cheating…he called the rules official over and they determined it was a free drop…just like any other sports where the referee makes a bad call…happens all the time. dont blame him at all

  20. Is it cheating if the rules official calls it? Does a batter or pitcher give back a strike or ball on a bad call? Does a receiver ask the ref to reverse a call when it’s not pass interference? We could go through these all day.

  21. This is toxic. It’s simple. The rules official told him he could remove the ball, the rules official felt the hole, the rules official gave the drop. This isn’t news. This is drama. Unsubbing. Your click bait titles and trying to be all controversial is boring and typical.

  22. Rory did what any other player would do in that situation. You try your best to win within the rules as much as possible. It's on the match official for not calling it correctly if it was actually illegal.

  23. Weird things happen but im not sure he cheated he shouldn't have removed the ball before the official had looked at it.royalty as him has its privileges whether or not someone else would have got away with it i dont know but doubt it.

  24. it is absolutley clear the rules say any ball embedded in its own mark has a free drop……so there was no cheat….anyone who says otherwise just doesnt know the rules…..thats that and thats it !

  25. My thoughts are: never have I listened to someone waffle for as long as you just have with repetitive points / statements AND finishing off by asking a question which you don’t seem to have realised that you, on no less than 5 occasions have answered!!! When I say that you have answered, I say this based upon the fact that if I take 'your facts', that being that there is absolutely no way that the ball could have been embedded, then there is only one answer – he cheated. However, I believe that the ball must have been embedded, as, although I am on the same page as you regarding his desperate desire to win a major again, he would not cross that line. I don't think he is that type of person BUT I also believe that a combination of being part of the picture when Patrick Reed cheated together with the knowledge that what you have done, as too have many – I'm not dissing you BTW – would be unavoidable. Love your shows, just can't quite get my head around this one – it is a little of, "this is the situation which can't factually be proven, I know, albeit I didn't see it either, that the facts are what I say they are, and if they're whatbI say they are then he cheated but I am notbsaying he cheated!" Would you put you kids life on the line that the ball could not have embedded?

  26. My friend always treats Rory better than Patrick Reed because he has a history of cheating. Just because the ruling was in his favor he thinks Rory isn't a cheater. It's the same issue as Jordan getting calls in the NBA officials will side with superstars.

  27. Because he called in an official to rule on the situation, he is off the hook and I would not consider that cheating. She (The official) actually put her fingers into the hole where the ball went in and established in her mind it was an embedded condition. Also his playing partner was also there and did not protest or question the call so I feel the actions taken were appropriate and correct. Thats why you always call in an official to insure your azz is covered.

  28. I have played in a few USGA events and I can assure you that the situation was monitored by the groups rules official and Rory would not proceed without his direction . You have no idea whether ball was embedded or not and make some pretty strong accusations that I find offensive and accusatory. The USGA would never let a situation get out of the proper procedure in determining whether the ball was embedded or not , especially in the US OPEN in the last round and one of the last few groups .
