The Los Angeles Chargers wrapped up their two-day minicamp on Wednesday, and we’re here to recap all the key takeaways and standouts.
We’ll start with Justin Herbert, who looked as sharp as ever. He was making all the throws, and he even showed off some new mobility.
Another player who stood out was Jalen Guyton. He had a great spring, and he’s poised to have a breakout season in 2023.
On defense, Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack were their usual dominant selves. They were both making plays all over the field, and they’re going to be a nightmare for opposing offenses.
We also saw some promising performances from some of the younger players. Such as the newly drafted Quentin Johnston!
Overall, the Chargers had a very productive minicamp. They’re looking to build on their success from last season, and they’re definitely a team to watch in 2023.

Herbert has to do more than any QB in the league. The defense can’t stop the run so it limits his time of possessions. The offense can’t run the ball either so he has to throw more. And Joe Lombardi had a scheme where Herbert had limited explosive plays in the playbook making him have to have 12 play drives to score. Herbert last year had to be perfect 😢. Hope he gets some help this season.
