I actually met robby the first time at a ponderosa steak house in waukesha WI one late nite when CART was at the Milwaukee mile. Was him and his engineer. Then again met him in lake Geneva WI down town at a bar during the score days he is actually a very nice humble fella unlike that asshole Jimmy Johnson

What I'll always remember about Robby is the time in the garage that Tony Stewart tried to bully him and Robby showed him he was picking on the wrong guy. I loved the expression on Tony's face. He realized he was bullying the wrong guy. Tony didn't mess with Robby anymore.

I remember watching him dirt-tracking an IMSA Mustang in a street course race; it legitimately looked like he was drifting. It was one of the coolest things I ever saw. He must have been using super hard tires. I've tried to find the video, but it doesn't seem to be posted anywhere. It was early on in his career (very pre-NASCAR).
I got to see Robby racing in Trans Am in the early 90's. For those that know Lime Rock Speedway, there's a section that turns right, goes up a steep hill, followed by a few hundred feet of straightaway before you turn right again and head downhill towards the front straightaway. Robby would consistently carry his front tires in the air from the hill right up until he had to brake and turn again. There are probably pictures of this all over the web. Many other drivers would carry the front end off the ground, but Robby took it as far as he could possibly go and carried more height as well. Amazing to watch lap after lap.
1999 was probably the biggest problem in Robby's career. One lap from winning the Indianapolis 500 he runs out of fuel.
Imagine Dale Earnhardt and Robby Gordon as team mates at RCR 🤯. That would NOT have went over well. And people think Dale and Mike Skinner didn't get along…

Monster Jam won't take him because he was a package deal with Monstr Energy? he's got Bigfoot and the SPEED Energy gang ready to go. I met Robby after a long race at Darlington. He was in line to exit the track, I was working first aid. I didn't want to disturb but I just quickly asked for an autograph. He obliged. And remembered me every year after. An awesome man and racer

Robby was my favorite driver of the 00s. While he never had the NASCAR success I expected him to he was always entertaining. I loved that he still ran indy, Dakar and Baja.
He was a Ahole for sure but he was the kind of Ahole I’d be if I had the money.
The best was when he was running Ford Cosworth and he went over the air saying how much the engine sucked, I believe that was the Cart Series at that time when you had Indy and Cart in the US.

Robby got the last laugh tho. He now owns the Super Trucks Racing Series. Builds and leases trucks for the stadium truck tour. I would say he's doing good for himself

First person in a truck to win the Baja 1000, it had only been won on a motorcycle before Robby. That new truck today is more interesting (than NASCAR), very fast. I wish him the best.

Robby just purchased the old Evernham Engines Shop.. after Ray closed it down.. somehow Joey Arrington became new owner threw a dodge deal.. built lease motors and was building Robbys custom off road SXS Motors.. now Robby take it all inhouse

best robbey gordon moment for my family…..july 4th a few years back. he launched his boat next to us at lake havasu. gave us some of his energy drink. my wife busted his chops about he was dressed like his truck and boat. he was a true gentleman. wanted to get pics with him, but didnt want to bother him for it. great memory. still got the 4 pack of speed fuel he gave us. he told us it goes great with vodka.
