  1. That's a shame. When he closes with saying "this U.S. Open will play on the easier side", that's a huge letdown. And the USGA and U.S. Open clearly continues to struggle with identity issues if this is the case.

Like Tiger Woods said a few years ago, "Whatever happened to very demanding U.S. Opens, where the USGA grows the rough high, makes the fairways very narrow, and the greens fast, and let the boys have at it." But, of course why would the USGA listen to Tiger Woods? He's only the top 2 best players of all time, perhaps the very best. lol

  2. Great visuals and content! The voice-over is horrible in respect to the wavering sound quality. Mr. Hagestad should redo that and the presentation would be incredible.

  3. I can’t even listen to this. And the video work is terrible like what hole am I looking at

  4. Computer audio just laid over bad background music. I'm going to another channel for the U.S. Open…

  5. Eamon: jay is in charge…

Seriously eamon is as dumb as rory!! In business the ones with the MONEY make the RULES! Jay just has a swollen a$$ from getting beaten by yasser and the tour players…

  6. Golf Channel farts another chance to make me care about its content. Audio Quality worse than a cassette tape. Banal commentary. Bye!

  7. Did someone call him, put it on speakerphone, tell him his dog died, and then record it with their 1993 Talk Boy?

  8. Golf Digest did a superb profile of this course, check it out. This video is abysmal, who thought this voice over quality was acceptable?

  9. Terrible audio-can't get through the well shot video with that audio. Wasted opportunity to get us golf fans excited for the tournament.

  10. Great idea to show the course. Poorly executed, especially the commentary, with the annoying background soundtrack. Most course flyovers start from the tee and move to the green.
I expected better from the Golf Channel 🤬

  11. Wow this is no golf digest hole by hole… what with the audio?? It’s gonna be this bad just don’t put the video out.

  12. Where have all the brutle US Opens gone. Around level par should be winning. Grow the rough, narrow the fairways and make the greens firm. Stop pandering to moaning players.

  13. Next year let the Saudis produce this content. They’ll give us drone aerial views instead of still images, better audio quality, and better post production

  14. Winning score is gonna be -12. There’s just not enough penal rough and the fairways are wide. It’s a bombers track.

  15. Yes he sounded like his mic was in a blender. I sure would have liked to heard what he had to say

  16. Wow…I’m so fired up after this
A combo of poor audio, “safe boating” music, and zero enthusiasm; I think I’ll just play golf instead of watching.

  17. This guy sounds like maybe he missed qualification for it and now he’s making out like it’s a piss easy course that he could have won at. No way it’ll be as easy as he makes out.

  18. Golf YT really has to step up the quality. Doesn’t take anyone special to listen to how bad the audio is. It’s really not that hard
