NASCAR hammers Stewart-Haas with a MASSIVE Penalty | Actions Detrimental with Denny Hamlin

Denny Hamlin discusses why it’s a good thing that NASCAR takes cars back to R&D at random to try and prevent teams from cheating. Plus, why might SHR have had counterfeit parts in the shop to begin with.

  1. It's not a QC issue. The part was on the car, maybe it was a part of their own R&D looking for ways to have an advantage at another time with a calculated risk, maybe it wasn't intended to be on the car at this particular race and it was a total oopsie. But the real question is – why do they have the part at all? Denny brought up a point about show cars, makes sense, but if that was its purpose and it accidentally ended up on the car, I think SHR would fight it.

  2. DH really thinks he's able to judge other people's intent… the god complex on this dude is wiiild.

  3. Nascar is losing money, so they figure why not take from the teams! Nascar has become a joke. Talent set aside for money.

  4. Why have teams? Why have multiple organizations with garages? If NASCAR wants the sport to be cookie cutter then whats the point

  5. Keep going to and they will run Tony price for the charters he can bail and go drag racing and have fun great way to run sponsors off also

  6. Nascar has completely lost it’s way. A big part of racing is building a better car than everyone else. I still check in on nascar but I’ve lost a lot of interest in it. Everyone running the same chassis composite bodies and suspension /steering parts is what made me lose interest. I’m sure it’s just s matter of time before they’ve all got the same hybrid engines. It’s just so sad to watch nascar die a slow death after witnessing how great it was In the 90’s and early 2000’s

  7. This new car has ruined the sport and you can’t figure it out while you’re losing fans and not filling the stands up

  8. Who is checking nascar to make sure they aren’t helping certain teams/drivers. Like Danica back in the day

  9. This is all coming from a guy who got caught cheating with tape under the wrapping of the car! The whole team was caught.

  10. Is it really cheating when they can't even keep up with Rick Ware cars?😂😂😂

  11. Integerty, LMAO. You have a CEO on drugs who we now know was after Jerrey Mayfield for reason that were total false and may have used connection tough a federal agency to go after him. Its a joke.

  12. I have no doubt they're guilty but how pathetic is it to cheat and still have an average finish of 26th. 🤪

  13. A TRUE NASCAR FAN DOESN'T GIVE UP! Wannabes or fairweather fans have the most to say about nothing they know about! Personally, if it isn't right, then it should be addressed-within reason! I thought this penalty was a bit excessive! It has been discussed on all the platforms since. 🏁🏴

  14. someone blew the whistle so NASCAR picked that car. put the car numbers in a hat and draw to see who get sent to the tech center.

  15. losing is one thing.. cheating and still losing is silly.. cheating losing and getting caught is so dumb they should be tossed out for being incompetent at life..

  16. The reality of cheating isn't so much "innovation", but knowing one of the officials who lets them get away with it. How many times do we see former drivers become officials or executives?

  17. When this broke I read an article that some higher up in SHR said:
    (paraphrase)
We need to find out how this got on the car, yada, yada…
Nooooo; you need to find out how it GOT IN THE SHOP…

  18. I disagree , the integrity of the sport is ripped to shredds.
There's nothing remotely stock or manufacturer correct close about the sport anymore and the state of the sport is falling apart.

  19. NASCAR (the teams) has ALWAYS been about finding advantages (modifications) that would make a car faster. NASCAR is losing its heritage by making the cars exactly the same. THIS is a NEW CULTURE for NASCAR.

  20. It's the lack of adequate practices. Every race that has many many cautions and teams make multiple adjustments, the racing gets better and better. Drivers are not going to drive door to door, bumper to bumper and side draft in cars that drive like a 4 year old on ice!

  21. The worst thing is, the part didn't help! The car was dead last or close to it most of the race! What was the point? All the fines and lost points on top of the racing position makes me wonder why this car was singled out. If it was a top 5 car, I can see pulling it apart. So, why? Doesn't make sense to me.

  22. When I heard Zippie press lease., it sounded like a part for mock ups test fittings…… save the real part from constantly being touched by hands the could drop it or to limit the chance of thread stripping….

  23. Here's what's at stake. If you let the teams cheat with no penalties the sponsors will start treating the sport like professional wrestling.

  24. New car has turned NASCAR into a spec series. Don’t complain about aggressive moves drivers make. Same equipment make racing tight. Go watch a spec Miata race.

  25. welp ya all better start fighting back against nascar before every sport on the planet is screwed up with total delusional stupidity period! 🤷‍♂️🤪🤡💩👎🤔👍

  26. The part might have been weaker at the rear spoiler area and let it flex and lean back at speed and goes back when slowing down.
