Rumour has it that a recent #1 player and multiple major winner was looking to make the jump. This would not look well for the PGA and assoc. tours. Plus money talks, lol. I like anything that makes Chamblee mad, lmfao. Supposedly the PIF tried to get involved with the golf tours years ago but were stymied. Hence LIV.
Who’s kidding who? Let these two sugarcoat this awful mess all they want. The truth is the Saudi’s have bought the one single entity in sports that stands for decency, honor , integrity and sportsmanship. They are a classless people who are a lead weight around humanities neck. Who in their right mind would want to be associated, much less subservient, with these awful people. As a former Touring Pro, I’m heartbroken.

Why did CBS fired these two gems? This is the most fun I’ve seen or heard on any golf broadcast in years. Their take on the current crop of announcers was spot on. They all sound the same.
Kostis is fooling himself about this leading to any better treatment for women.

Guys good chat. However you didn’t project that the PIF will pump in unrealistic money for a period of time and then become disinterested or fulfilled. Then we will find that the player prizes are not sustainable and Golf ultimately is a non-commercially viable sport at those levels.
Always a fun podcast with these two guys very colorful and outspoken and have a great insights. Truly miss him from the CBS team. That is dry to say it nicely 😢
So the moral dilemma now is that the PGA Tour is buddy-buddy with the people that brought down the World Trade Center Towers and stone women that voice an opinion just like the WWE and the UFC? Why isn't the LPGA also thrown into the mix? – LMAO
The hypocrisy of the situation is traditional to everything that happens with the morals of the woke agenda. People try to force their ideas on others. Saudi government is based on Islam religion and culture so the human rights issues are based on that culture and nothing woke people in America do are going to change that. Yet the same Americans are buying products and pushing products from all over the world that are made by children and slaves. Where are they then when they put on a Nike product or they buy their EV. Most people who have never left the US and are oblivious to the way people live in these other countries but are quick to judge them without the ability to look and judge themselves. There has never been a war that the US has entered that we didn’t have some sort of agenda.

Wow do I miss these guys! The new announcers like Trevor immelman and Brad Faxon, while i'm sure they're nice guys, are terribly annoying and way over analyze everything.
The selective outrage by all these purest golfer fans and pros is nauseating. The golf commissioner needs to go and a fresh face installed. This moaning about greed and for the love and pride of the game is fine and well intentioned but it is also disconnected from reality. Long gone are the days of 40 dollar hotel rooms and weekly overhead costs in the hundreds for missing cuts. Now when u miss a cut it costs you thousands. Travel, food, hotel, caddy…

Saudi money is invested and involved in dozens of current products and sponsors in the PGA and household products. So if someone is going to go on a tirade about “blood money”… let’s be equally outraged about everything. If not, then can y’all plz STFU about all this money and get back to all kinds of professional golf. You want purity and legacy?… stick with amateur golf. Period!!
Everyone on tour now for the most part plays for big money and big pay days. Unless you come from an affluent family, and even then still!.

We have a "democracy", but a few people who graduated from Ivy League schools decide who we go to war with and even down to how our toilets flush. We've gone from "taxation without representation" to just plain "without representation".

Originally, longtime golf fans had a problem with the Saudi money and outrageous monetary offers to the guys leaving for LIV. They didn't "deserve" that much money. In hindsight, Monahan should have taken the Saudi PIF money as an "investment in the tour", which is just what they've doing now.
Brooks and Dustin aren't getting a pass, but they didn't sue or bad mouth the tour. FIGJAM and Bryson have a special hell waiting for them. If I were Phil I wouldn't even come back, I'd just play outings and majors. The PGA exemption will get him in a few more .

When they said “it’ll grow the game”, I was smart enough to know that that means “make rich people richer”. It’s not going to put clubs in the hands of kids. THAT would be growth for a slowly fading game.
They should have crushed LIV out of existence and totally banned LIV members from all including majors.
