  1. If only we could get the same turn around with pundits…instead I'll be listening to these 2 tools for the next 20+ years….

  2. Why don't they come out and actually criticise the fact that in one season, 12 managers have lost their job. There is something fundamentally wrong in that league for that to just suddenly become 'the norm'. They barely mention it. Quite surprised. Then in the next breath it'll be 'This is why it's the best league in the world!!'

  3. What is Gary Neville talking about? Has he forgot what Tuchel and Di Matteo did at Chelsea after taking over?

  4. Thomas Frank was Dean Smith's No 2 at Brentford before being moved up after Smith got appointed at Aston Villa

  5. Reasons why this is happening:
    1) Chelsea have been doing it successfully for almost 20 years, it's only natural others will want to copy it.
    2) lots of players are brought in by the owners, not managers. Managers than get players they don't want, which they are forced to play because they were expensive. If they don't play them, they get the sack.
    3) managers themselves are brought in like this was Fifa. Oh he won stuff, surely he'll win things with us! is a very basic way to look at things.
    4) clueless owners that are really businessmen
    5) media and pundits that push narratives and criticize all the time are not helpful at all. The pressure piles up exponentially. That's what happened with Potter. People downed him before he even got started. Plus, Chelsea were actually playing well, they were just very unlucky.

    There's probably more to it.

  6. As an American turned PL fan, college football always seemed like the sport in the USA that coaches would get sacked quicker than most sports. Even before the Chelsea madness this season, it’s crazy how clubs run through coaches. Firing a HC mid season in American sports is like waving the white flag lol PL clubs truly expect a boost off of it
