GOLF-%-MASTERY – MASTERY of the GOLF PERCENTAGE GAME
Jack Kuykendall’s 5A Mechanics

One of the major statistics that decide your golf score is the percent of fairways and greens you hit in regulation. Mastery would mean you hit a far higher percentage than tour players. 5A mechanics is your passport to that higher percentage.

MASTERY of the GOLF PERCENTAGE GAME “5A”
* LIFELINE GRIP IN BOTH HANDS
*ELIMINATION OF FORARM ROTATION

*FLEXION&EXTENSION OF BOTH WRIST

• A1: Left-Hand “FLEXION” angled lifeline grip (single plane between forearm, hand and shaft)
Right-Hand “EXTENSION” fully cocked lifeline grip (single axis between right forearm and shaft):
o At address, the left-hand “FLEXION” grip is taken in the lifeline of the left hand with the left wrist bent around 40 degrees toward the inside of the left forearm.
o At address, the right-hand grip is taken in the lifeline of right hand; creating a single-axis between the right forearm and the shaft; Kuykendall’s Patent 5,803,827 ;1998
• A2: Accuracy that is unimaginable
o The lifeline grip in both hands eliminates forearm rotation from address to ball impact.
 This eliminates the coordination barrier of the traditional tour type rotary body motion swing where the forearms rotate a minimum of 900 in less than 0.05 seconds from waist high in the downstroke to ball impact; a motion that tour player can only accomplish around 65% of the time. Amateurs have less than a 50% chance of coordinating traditional forearm rotation mechanics.
• A3: Awesome distance; 5 science principles
o Flail (4 levers) of the left triceps, left forearm, (left & right wrist) and shaft,
o Stretch reflex of the left wrist,
o Stretch reflex of the right wrist,
o Boxing PUNCH with the right arm,
o Shortening the radius of an arc at waist high in the downstroke.
The above are the anatomical and physics principles that produces high clubhead speed.
o Combined together, you get awesome distance with what feel like effortless motion.
• A4: Alternative to the tour swing:
o The body is used as a stabilizer; virtually eliminates all body rotations.
• A5: ABSOLUTES for pain relief from the rotary body motion traditional mechanics:
o Alleviates the pains caused by the rotary tour swing; removes lower body rotation!
o Alleviates the pain caused by hip rotation; virtually removes hip rotation from the swing!
o Alleviates the pain caused by torquing the shoulders to the hips; there is NO torquing of the shoulders to the hips!
o Alleviates the pain caused by massive torquing of the back; virtually removes any torque on the back!
o Alleviates the pain caused by knee rotation in the follow through; totally eliminate rotating toward and facing the target!
o Alleviates the pain caused in the ankles caused by foot rotation during the swing; the feet do not move and stay planted in place!
o Alleviates the pain caused in the wrist due to forearm rotation thought out the stroke; forearms in the 5A swing move without rotation

  1. This is amazing. I don't have the training aids yet but I have started to incorporate this into my driving range practice. I can't believe how straight the shots are. I have had real trouble with my fairway woods but now I am starting to get good ball contact with them using this method. I still need to develop some more speed, but I am very excited about this development.

  2. Jack– take away now is to flex lead wrist/extension of trail wrist while taking the club inside with elbow? No longer keep the angles out of the wrists? Can the SWOP grip still be used ?Thanks.

  3. You confirmed what I've been tinkering with for months. This is the cleanest I've ever hit the ball. Being a right-handed lefty helps tremendously since my (right) lead hand is very solid during impact and doesn't break down; the ball explodes from the clubface. Now if I just could stop my left shoulder coming over the top trying to "help" my (weak) left side … 😉 Thx again Jack. Hope you are well!

  4. Yep, started doing this yesterday and already more club head speed-> distance. I now need one less club lest I fly the green! Bent left arm feels weird but working on that too.

Thanks for the very valuable non-traditional information. 👍

  5. The grips were delivered today. Put them on my driver, 7 metal, PW, and 9 iron. Going to play 9 late this afternoon, will update.

  6. Hi Jack, I think the combination of the backswing/swing plane drill, and the impact drill is fascinating. I am a left handed right hand golfer (also play cricket right handed), but have always seemed to find power using a backhanded swipe of my left (dominant) hand. Hence your swing should work very well for me. In the swing plane drill I understand the use of the stroke guide and the forearm rotation eliminator to effectively wrap the arms around the body like a spring with no forearm rotation, but I fail to see what the use of the Grip-Wrist aid is for? What Is its purpose in the drill?

  7. Yesterday afternoon was a revelation. Using your big grips and non-rotating forearms swing I played the best golf of my life (I’m 61 y.o.) Yes, unbelievable and unprecedented accuracy and consistency. Slight distance gains (more solid contact), WAY more fun!
Somehow my putting improved too. Barely missed a bunch of birdie putts (but the pro’s miss more than they make.) Thank you for your original and revolutionary information!
