  1. People say “he made it on hard work” ya … you still have to work hard, but you cant play pro sports without being a genetic freak.

  2. It literally proves genetics aren’t necessary. All 3 are not built like a professional athlete. None are “genetically gifted”. They have a mother who is a skating coach and a father who works in coaching along with money and opportunity.

    Same reason you see so many kids of firmer players, coaches, executives make the NHL. It’s the only pro sport you can buy your way into.

  3. Not genetics.
    I played in a pretty famous hockey town. You played hockey because your friends played and the families who had one successful brother, usually had two or three be successful. Each generation being more successful than the previous.

    These kinds of sibling rivalries created the will for those kids to always try and outdo their brothers. They shot more pucks, they spent more time on drills outside of practice, they played more pickup at the park perfecting their moves.

    All that is what creates multiple generations of great players – it's JUST genetics.
