  1. This graph is pretty irrelevant after 5 rounds… get back to us when each team had played everyone else.

  2. If you looked that, this time, last year. Geelong wouldn't be close to the premiership window, but they won it.

  3. Waste of time to predict at round 5, should have learned from last year, Geelong were 5-4 at round 9, and no one would have claimed with stats they were gonna win the premiership.

  4. All this tells me is that alot of coaches might be looking for new employment sooner rather then later.

  5. I watch Fremantle for the first time on the weekend and I thought they were the most class and skilled team I've seen all year. Boy do they move the ball with class when they get it going. Beautiful to watch.

  6. Bring it back in 10 weeks lol. It's Round 5, and some teams have had easy competition and the opportunity to score big. It's not an accurate depiction of premiership probability just yet.

  7. Bombers were exceptional against Melbourne. But Bombers have also had Hawks, Suns, a loss against St Kilda, and Giants. And despite how good Essendon were on the weekend, Melbourne were very off. The graphic is cute, but a little too early

  8. These stats are meaningless at this point of the season. Who have Essendon played? Gold Coast, GWS, Hawthorn, Saints (who they lost to) and Melbourne which are the only actually good side they’ve beat. Compare that to a team like Collingwood who’ve played Geelong, Port Adelaide, Brisbane, Saints and Richmond and you can see where the discrepancies lie.

  9. And the Swans had the youngest team in the comp last week and the week before lost when the two key defenders went down before half time…

  10. They are really struggling for subject matter, talking about finals before the halfway mark of the season. This must be embarrassing for people who are supposed to know a bit about footy.

  11. Brisbane's defence has been great so far Melbourne's defence was scrambled against essendon it was bad

  12. I'm not sure how Fremantle are in the mix with the experts, they lost 6 quality players out of their starting 22, so they're coming from a long way back. Still have some quality players but to lose Louge, Lobb, Mundy, Acres, and to a lesser extent Tucker and Meek replaced by Jackson. Fyfe on the wrong side of his prime, so any injury will hurt them.

  13. Thanks for the great analysis of the Swans. Ranked highest within the top right quadrant, and what does Fox offer? An analysis of Essendon, StKilda and Collingwood. Way too early as a predictive tool, way too myopic. It's a national sport, not an old boys club.

  14. im a bombers fan but theres no chance we win the flag this year , sure we could make the 8 but we have barely any finals experiecne over the last couple of years.

  15. Adelaide’s Defence was immaculate against Carlton this week. Nick Murray is in All Australian form and their backline was able to hold back one of the best forward lines in the comp which consists of 2 Coleman Medalists.

  16. this is more a function of who the teams have played at this point. its just round 5.

  17. The "premiership quadrant" changes all the time. They used to all go on about clearances and contested ball win you flags until Richmond and West Coast win while regularly "losing" contested ball.

  18. Like it. Will be very interesting to check back every 5 rounds to see who can get their team "moving." I think dogs will end up OK

  19. Swans are definitely overrated at the moment, don't think they'll win but they will make finals. The Richmond game would've been very different if Lynch was fit.

  20. I'm skeptical a raw for/against point total is an accurate way of judging offense and defense. It's not normalized data for things like weather, the venue of played games, pace of play… In basketball they normalize their data ie points per possession instead of points per game. I'm not sure what the best normalization would be but it's required to get a proper comparison.

  21. GUESS GUESS GUESS THATS ALL YOUR DOING FFS
STOP TRYING TO TURN THIS FUCKING GAME IN TO A AMERICAN GRID IRON GAME

  22. This is only a measure of points for and against. Depending on fixture if which easy/hard teams you play early on is going to skew the ledger. Need to wait another month at least

  23. You can never get a good guideline until you play nearly everyone. Form changes depending on the good or bad teams you play against

  24. I want to thank everyone for subscribing to my vip tickets. I promise to always give you guys the best games.
