PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan meets with the media following the announcement of a new golf entity headed by the Saudi PIF Fund which will bring the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf all under one umbrella. Jay speaks ahead of the RBC Canadian Open following a player meeting.

CEO's involved in M&A have to spin the positive story. M&A's mostly fall by the wayside when all parties involved get into serious due diligence hurdles. And should it get through this phase, thats when the owner/boardroom battles takes place. I most cases the "old" CEO / roleplayer gets moved out after some time. So .. we can all sit back and watch this play out. Guessing game is waste of time currently.
Congress will pass laws against them. They hate Saudi money. Jay met a monster he couldn’t stop. Saudi money doesn’t want a return, so they have no competition to their money. They are whitewashing, not investing. Find another pot of money anywhere in the world that doesn’t want a return…..doesn’t exist. Greg Norman won. Saudi money will buy off all the PGA players to be fair, further owning the league. The majors now become the last stronghold of Western values. The pressure to add more majors will be immense.

these news conferences are PURE scripted BS! This merger was started and negotiated long ago! The 2 major parties just played everybody from the players to the media! How else does the backstabber Jay remain employed after the merger?? read between the lines this was a done deal months ago!!
