Great on Range, Terrible on Course? (Don’t ignore) | Good Golfers Do This (Ep. 1)

Introducing the Award-Winning Xonic iTQ app from Xonic Golf (@xonicgolf), giving golfers around the world instant help with their slice, hook, pull, push, and any other shot you want help with when you are on the course. As golf’s first AI Quick Tip Caddie app, the Xonic iTQ provides instant PGA Pro quick fixes and tips that are based on the A.I. analysis of your golf swing, so you can execute your next shot with confidence. And, the more you use the iTQ, the better it gets at giving you advice.

The app also includes an easy-to-use rules guide and first-of-its-kind shot tracker feature that lets you track how you are hitting different clubs from different lies on the course.

The Xonic iTQ app is recommended for golfers who struggle with their scores due to some missed shots like my sister, or for those who just want to improve their game. And the app is also great for anyone who wants a reminder on how to handle various lies and slopes while playing on the golf course. Plus, it’s user-friendly, so give it a try!

  1. Great demonstration on developing a consistent pre-shot routine.
Question on #8, drawing an imaginary line back to ball… is that applicable around the green as well with chips and putts? Or should I be focused more on #2, an intermediate target about 2 feet from the ball?
    Thank you Christine and Aimee😊

  2. very helpful to see this set up routine

to see student follow same, but she did not quite do it the same the first time

    very difficult when being videotaped!!

much better second and third time

  4. Do you think that an amateur needs a different pre-shot routine since we don't practice nearly as much as a pro? More practice swings or exaggerated movement of a problem part or important part of swing. Enjoy your videos.

  5. I like your choice- Jon Rahm. I also like Sei Young Kim and Shane Lowry. But I'm liking Aimee's pre-shot template here as a guide to build from. Well done sisters.

  6. I’m going to try this PS routine and see if it helps. I seem to have too many swing thoughts going through my mind when over the ball. I’ll have to see if I can improve as quickly as your sister. Thanks

  7. Thank you, Aimee, I am an amateur golfer, I think I have learnt a lot from your videos and recently broke 100 strokes with irons, love your golf lessons, please keep the good work up ! 😊

  8. You are the best, Aimee. Simple and effective instruction that can be directly applied on the course. Pre-shot routine is vital and often overlooked! Cheers 🙌🙌

  9. I stopped taking one last look at the target before I start my takeaway, because …
I noticed (watching a friend of mine do that) he would open his shoulders slightly in taking that one last look, and when he looked back at the ball, his shoulders REMAINED OPEN.

So, now I look at the target BEFORE I get setup to my intermediate target, and once set, start my backswing.

I know you’re supposed to be “target focused”, but open shoulders almost always results in a weak slice.

    Your thoughts 🤔

  10. I tried your pre-shot routine yesterday and I think it will help me with getting a more consistent distance to the ball with each club – I have always struggled with that. I like the idea of imagining following the ball flight back from the target and then starting the backswing, too. One thing I like to do is to point the grip of my club at the target and along my feet to ensure that my stance is square, but I can't do that without lifting the club. I'm now setting the club to align and check distance from the ball, then taking my approximate stance, then checking my stance with my club, regripping and setting the club, looking back at the target, following its imagined trajectory back, and swinging.
