I've seen nobody talk about putting the brakes on to create a pendulum effect on the club and I've been watching YouTube golf teachers for 4 years. My thanks Padraig.
Something eye opening to me was watching the gears data on pros and seeing that they actually make impact with their hands closer to their back hip. The whole shaft lean lag thing is all from hip drive and rotation. They just delay the strike point by driving to the front side and opening up. There isn’t a single pro who drags the handle

When you say, “pull”; are thinking about pulling your hands or with your shoulders and back? And, are you trying to pull the butt of the grip towards the ball?
Common sense instructions from padraig, now if you can just come to Carlisle and have a look at my whole golf swing and technique I'm sure to break 90/80!top banana sir!

All of this makes sense but it's not gonna work if the club golfer approaches impact with an open clubface (whether it's via a weak grip or cupped left wrist).
