The automobile accident that prematurely ended the wrestling career of Terry Allen, better known as Magnum TA, has caused one of the greatest “What if” debates amongst pro wrestling fans since the late 80’s. Would Magnum have been the man to take the National Wrestling Alliance to new heights in the latter half of the 80’s? Were legendary wrestlers like Nikita Koloff, Tully Blanchard and Barry Windham robbed of World Title runs? Would Magnum eventually have headed to the WWF?
Well, in this video I am joined by lifelong Jim Crockett Promotions fan Ted the Hillbilly Hell from The Heel Truth audio podcast to discuss these various possibilities! We are attempting to answer all the great “What if” scenarios fans have posed over the years.

Can you do a What If on World Class? What if they don't leave the NWA? What if Fritz can somehow manage to work with/for JCP? What if Kerry doesn't have his accident in 86?
Dusty was grooming him to be the next Ric flair he was going to be the next king of wrestling this story has been told a million times😂
If Magnum T.A. wouldn't have been in the car accident he would have had his career ENDED at the hands of the 4 horsemen. That car ACCIDENT SAVED him TONS of pain that the 4 Horsemen would have INFLICTED UPON him.
NWA Starrcade 1987 From Chicago Illinois UIC Pavilion 11/26/87 Cage Match NWA World hw title Ric Flair vs Magnum TA (instead of Ronnie Garvin)
Magnum TA Chicago debut was Saturday 9/28/85 AWA SuperClash '85-Night of Champions : From: Chicago, Illinois Old Comiskey Park: NWA World hw title match Ric Flair (c) vs
Magnum TA. The NWA JCP First ever show in Chicago was 12/14/86 at Rosemont, IL Rosemont Horizon (House Show). Plus signing aurograhics were Jimmy Valiant, Baron Von Raschke and one more person. Can't remember right now . Magnum TA 's car crash happen 10/14/86
I lost interest in Wrestling on October 14, 1986. Magnum was the reason I watched.
He would have gone to the WWF in 1989 and become a big star winning the intercontinental title. By mid nineties goes back to WCW then becomes a heel and joins the NWO.
He would be on the level of Flair & Hulk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WWF would have grabbed him and made him a cowboy named Maverick Mcgee, he would have captured the intercontinental title and played second fiddle to Hogan and probably would have had a decent opponent at wrestlemania 3
Magnum ta would have been great nwa champion hall of fame
5×s NWA/WCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION 🏆 💯
I wholeheartedly agree, if Magnum doesn't have the accident, he would have gone on to be one of the biggest stars, and I believe he would have been Flair's heir. The matches that could have been with Savage vs Magnum, Magnum vs Rude, Magnum vs Dibiase if he made the jump to WWF.
I am still a Magnum TA fan.
I am glad,I was glad to see Magnum TA wrestle prior to his car accident.
Magnum TA would have been the Hulk Hogan of the NWA in the 1980s.
Without that car accident Magnum TA would have dominate the NWA and WWF circuit for a long time. I feel a young Kurt Angle versus Magnum TA would have been a great match.
1985 through 1989 were great times for the NWA…….
Magnum TA would have been a NWA legend…….
Magnum would’ve beat Flair at Starrcade, then warred with Nikita for most of 87.
He would been a bad guy join the four horsemen turn on dusty
Do you think magnum Ta would have been a part of the N.W.O ?
