  1. Actually, the guy that Blomgren reminds me of is Bjorn Borg. Same amount of facial hair, and same competitive demeanor, and very successful.

  2. I've always liked AJ. Solid bowler. He's a powerhouse when he's on. He deserves a shot here.

  3. Unbelievable … I thought AJ was dead in the water. Congrats … Never say die.

  4. I disagree with Mr. Flanigan on forgiving the slow pace of Mr. Johnson. Pro bowling is sports entertainment and consideration has to be given to the fans. I have been watching the PBA since 1979 and it would have been worse back then because you couldn't click past the no action delays. I bowled a 290 last Tuesday without slowing things down overthinking my shots. It is like having a Sean Rash balk, but on every shot.

  5. Gotta give credit to AJ here as far as controlling the pace. Complain all you want of it being slow, but he spotted his opponent's quick rhythm and countered it. It's a viable strategy and it worked.

  6. After reading the comments, I did not realized that the pace was slow. For the complainers, why don't you get out there on the one game rolloff and see how fast you can bowl and think you can win? It is called pacing yourself. Most true bowlers who take their bowling seriously does it with a pre shot routine regardless bowling on a league or PBA.
