The Game of Golf, Huh?!?!🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Are you F—-ING kidding me, this is PURE GREED, I will never watch this garbage…deals with a killer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was always about money, this was always about the L word… Legacy. To enter a golf tournament takes money; those who aren't in the top 75 or 100 Money List, get cut from the PGA Tour. The format of LIV (54 holes, short roster of players) came from PGA Tour player committee meetings from over a decade ago. Davis Love III, Greg Norman, and Phil have heard those internal discussions. It would be "exclusive events". It's just that the PGA Tour executives didn't go with it, and Greg Norman had other issues and an ax to grind. Some players didn't leave the PGA Tour for LIV because at the time, LIV didn't have world points backing and that meant that they wouldn't be eligible for certain majors.
Both leagues got what they wanted: LIV got the legitimacy of an established tour and access to money tv deals, DP/PGA got an increase in certain purses for events.
