The key to this is to treat them more like an iron than a wood. By striking down through the ball you will more likely hit the ball on the sweet spot and activate the technology in the club. By trying to sweep the ball off the ground or lift it, you will likely launch the ball low as a result of connecting with the ball, low on the clubface.
