  1. All the proof you need…..
You make a decent golf shot with a cheap club but you dam well can’t make a decent cup of tea with a cheap tea bag ☕️☕️🤣

  2. 227 yards. Since shipping to Canada might be cost prohibitive if I win, give it to your co-star in the video. He seemed to really like it.

  3. Cracking views back down to the clubhouse from that tenth hole Gaz, and over Huddersfield.
Long iron is definitely the club off that tee. I have an old Titleist DCi 2 iron that Jamie has nabbed off me. I can't hit it but he get's results with it – plus, they're really useful if you find yourself in trees with overhanging branches for a low punt out back onto the fairway. 👍

That flexi membership that Daz is on at Dewsbury is a great deal. I'll keep an eye out for him up there knocking it round with his Sombrero on and racking 46 points in the stableford… 🤣

  4. As a 2 iron player, my guess is only 5 yards between old and new. I play a Yonex Adx tour set from 30 years ago with a 1 and 2 iron. They are as good as anything out there today with the benefit of being forged. A lot of enjoyment in striping a long iron, well worth the practice.

  5. What a lovely fella and what a cracking video. I’m a long iron player Gaz I just can’t get on with hybrids

  6. Great video and great fella. Wouldn’t like to play him in match play. Would get eaten alive the bandit 😂

  7. Great video gaz. My contradiction at the minute need somthing off the tee for tight holes. I’ve tried u505 at AG, looking at the u500 but might look at buying and trying the RAC now. If I don’t with the giveaway. Cheers pal helped me a lot regardless this content – 227 yards

  8. 227 yards is good distance for an iron. Used to use a 2 iron a long time ago and got some good distance off the tee and from the fairways. I also had 1 iron whose head was so small it's a wonder I could hit the ball. Definitely did not stay in the bag. Trying to follow Sandy Lyle at his prime in using a 1 iron probably not a good idea.

  9. I play an Adams 2 hybrid, with only 13.5 degrees of loft and it is a pocket rocket, outdriving many peoples drivers. I recon around about 25 yards different between old and new, with the new coming out on top. Newer shaft, plus better MOI help. In my younger playing days, I used a ping eye 2 One iron, which was a fairway finder, but not a slouch of the tee back then with the 1 iron, making playing partners shake their heads when they found my ball past theirs. Never bothered me, someone hits a good one, fair enough, well done. My advice to all handicap players is play your own game, forget the billy big balls, use what finds the fairway, rather than finding the rough and struggling to hit a good shot into the green.

  10. I'm glad you didn't show the warm up hole where I lost 2 balls and didn't finish the hole 😂😂
