Don’t you find it strange that drivers and irons are being designed with massive faces and “forgiving” perimeter weighting although we still need to hit the middle of the club face as we always have?
Also small compact blades have the highest MOI without sacrificing consistency because of the inherently small surface area. These larger faces have grooves where the small blades run out of metal. Surely these manufacturers are selling us nonsense and trying to manipulate the very simple nature of golf, ie strike the centre of the club face or the centre of the screws. Just my opinion Michael
This iron will both suit and be fancied by so many golfers: like, if you had to choose one chassis to fit them all, this fits it perfectly. I'm super-impressed though not surprised by Tour Edge. I still reminisce about their original slogan of "Golf's Most Sound Investment".
I wonder why they don’t offer for the lefties since you mentioned Mike Weir plays them.
how they compare with the Honma's you tried
For a 7 iron you were all over the place 🙂 and for 32 degree's…the distance and speed did not impress. Nice iron maybe…but better than a mizuno 223/ jpx Forged? I doubt it
Mike Weir is a left handed golfer ???? they must be made for LH golfers
the way the hosel and head match up looks odd.
I bought a Tour Edge E722 demo 7 iron with a KBS 80 graphite shaft to compare against my Honma 747TW set. Wow! the Tour Edge is 15 yards longer than my Honma 7 iron and the shot dispersion is much tighter. The Honma set is going on eBay sale so I can buy the Tour Edge set. BTW, I sold my Mizuno ST-Z driver, 3 wood, 5 wood last December and replaced with Tour Edge E722 clubs. Resulted in a good improvement in my long game.

They look good! Maybe for a old man like me the right decision to choose them…. But norma i online stick japanese forged irons – are they made in USA or only labelers there?
They remind me of the very old mizuno pro 2 irons!!
