Regardless of when or where he said it, listening to Carson Palmer critique the play of Patrick Mahomes is equivalent to a hot dog vendor critiquing the food of a Michelin rated chef.

They've been spending money for years now. They were waiting for a qb and coach they believe in. Evidently it wasn't palmer after his 3rd year. Definitely wasn't Dalton and wasn't lewis.
But I do think mahomes and burrow are 2 different qbs. In my mind Burrow has the best qb mind and pocket awareness and mahomes is just magic

Mahomes has been playing a regular season playoff schedule EVERY YEAR he has been a starter. The Chiefs have drafted at or near the bottom of the 1st round EVERY YEAR Mahomes has been the starter. With that, look at his record. Chiefs are battle tested behind Mahomes.
Joe is a really really good orthodox QB. Mahomes is ANTI that – he’s unorthodox. Can’t compare one by the other – “burrow does this, Patrick doesn’t….”
As a lifelong Chiefs fan I always prefer being doubted. It always makes the NFL season that much more fun, even in the tough years when we weren't very good. Wouldn't have it any other way, which I imagine is how most true fans feel about their team lol

Buncha fools in here. Even the Brown family would take Mahomes over Burrow if they could let’s be real. Mahomes just had one of the best seasons by a QB ever with only 1 true elite pass catcher in Kelce. The WRs were a bunch of 2s and 3s that Mahomes and Reid elevated. Burrow hasn’t once thrown for 5k yards or 40 touchdowns… with 2 WR 1s. “But Burrow has a 3-1 H2H edge” big whoop… so does Baker Mayfield over Burrow so Baker is better with that dumb logic. It’s Mahomes in his own tier and then everyone else.
