  1. Really good idea! i guess i know majority of the tubegolfers you gonna show. it boosts the tip that somebody "reviews" it! anyways, cant wait!!

  2. 100 % agree with this. My son and I have distilled a few of Alex Elliot's tips into improving driver. the dipped shoulder has led to a leaky/slicey iron shot. Love Alex's stuff but there is no substitute for pro lessons.

  3. Being cack handed and the way I have to match up my grip to my swing to remain functional, I kind of do this automatically. I think this is what allows me to hit with some level of control. Although you’d have to ask my playing partners as to how much “control” I have a s I may be a little biased. 😂

  4. I saw Alex's tip. It has been working for me. At my home course I had trouble breaking 90. Shot 83 yesterday. A couple of better putts it would have been better.

  5. yeah Andy. I have taken, Alex's instruction and tip down to the range and out on our course ! LOL ! I'm a believer ! LOL ! It actually Works !

  6. I do think I'll try this for driver, 3 wood and perhaps 4 hybrid. My bad miss when I get a little too much adrenalin is definitely a big slice. If I could cut those down, it would really help my score.

  7. I tried his tips out my last game. It felt good on the driving range but as you demonstrated my irons were going right. Worked good with the driver. But I also incorporated his tips on the driver setup.

  8. I'm a big fan of Alex's 5 minute tip videos and it was good to see you (an average golfer like myself) putting it into practice. Looking forward to the rest of your series.

  9. Most of the great players in the history of the game had a slight over-the-top movement. My Swing Evolution on YT covers this all the time with video analysis. Nearly every great driver of the ball today hits a slight fade of the tee. Recently he showed Hovland, Scheffler and Koepka on video all with slight over-the-top bias in their swings. Unless you're hitting a banana slice it's not something I'd be too worried about changing.

  10. You are much better than an "Average Golfer" but I tried Alex Elliot's tip and I loved it for driver. However I had the same results as you did with irons. I only tried it the one outing so I'll keep working on it.

  11. This is by far the best explanation of this type of approach. Great job

  12. Sorry, not a big fan of anything Alex Elliot posts. If you’re interested in a better golf swing Ali Taylor is a way better teacher.

  13. I must admit that I haven't been watching Alex's channel for some time (YT had knocked him off my recommended list for some reason), but the tip makes perfect sense and is similar to Mr Hogan's advice about the inside of the elbows pointing outwards at address.
Although I have never gone through Alex's set-up sequence with my driver swing I have the swing thought in the downswing that my right elbow tucks in as it's a great way of making sure that your swing path is coming from the inside.

  14. This is a good idea- taking tips from the teaching pros on You tube and testing it out- obviously a lot of material available from the likes of Crossfield, me and my golf etc etc

  15. What a great idea… I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this concept and can’t wait for the next one! Brilliant

  16. Thanks Andy, looking forward to trying some of these tips especially this one I think could help me out to better my control off of the tee.

  17. I adopted this method for our monthly medal competition this last weekend and shot a nett 67 two shots ahead of the field. It did feel a little stiff towards the end of the round but that could have been in my head protecting my good round. I will definitely adopt this method long term, great tip!
