Wow what a coincidence pete finch just announced his bike challenge about an hour ago, do you think they talked to each other lol, i though being the youtuber with most subscribers that you would have original ideas and not copied petes homework and vice versa this is highly embarrassing especially you both put out your podcasts within an hour or two of each other, this stinks, why not call your podcast rick shiels and pete finch
Just got a handicap after not playing or having one for 20 years. I know I don’t play likeI use to 7 handicap but now off 5 in new system after 5 months back. New clubs are helping abit
Rory misses nearly all of his wedges short, I'd say comfortably 80%. He literally gotta attack the flags more and accept that one or two might go long. Percentage wise he'd be way better off. Almost feel like the landing point is pin high.
The problem with new handicap system is you can jump up & down in bigger margins where the old system if you had a bad round then you went up .1 etc. You new where you where and definitely more open now to handicap skullduggery.
adopting the WHS is a solution to a problem that was never really that important, or an issue IMO. Standard Scratch is straight forward and simple. Done
I'm not sure what is difficult to grasp about the new handicap system? It's your best 8 scores out of your last 20 rounds. So if your a scratch golfer, you are at the level that you are able to shoot around level par (or slightly above if you are on a tough course) 8 times over the last 20 rounds of golf. But it does mean that things can change quite a bit, as if you play 3 rounds in a week, and 3 of your 8 counting rounds are at position 18,19 and 20 (so they will no longer count when you add your next 3 rounds) and you play rubbish for those 3 rounds and all your other rounds in your 20 aren't that good, then your handicap could change a fair bit. I've heard lots of people saying that it's easier to have a lower handicap, but I never really understood why? You still have to shoot 8 good rounds of golf over your last 20. What did I get wrong? 🙂

If you watch Rory on the range he is the best player in the world and it’s not even close. Such control with every club. On the other hand, Scheffler, surprisingly is less impressive. But Scheffler has a knack at just getting the ball in the hole and scoring well. I think that skill is often overlooked.
No mention of the Good Good Championship? Really disappointing.
So… I've not calculated with the new system (not that it would help much with my crap scores) but from what was said on here, it seems WHS giving people a better number handicap… and more people seem to like it? Where's the surprise in that?

On the the US broadcast Jack made a comment that he the thinks Rory seems to always swing full on and he thinks he should hold back on his swings. (Not exactly what he said, but that was the gist of it).As Rory walked off the 18 green and shook Jack's hand, Jack leaned in and told Rory he wanted to get with him later and have a talk. Sounds like Jack is going to give Rory a few pointers.
