This will prove to be a huge waste of money. He is what he is. We have seen his ceiling. It’s better if they took that money and kept signing guys to one year deals. This makes no sense to me. Losing faith in Beane big time. Bad drafting as well. Let’s see how this draft works out.
Boys there is a reason Ed gets the double team when Von is out. In Frazier's defense that was his job, especially with the inconsistent 1 tech play. Frazier wants the interior D line choked up and both DTs getting double teamed. I feel like this signing is a statement that we will be a change of defensive philosophy. You are right that Ed needs certain characters around him to give numbers, but he doesn't need that to be disruptive and impact plays, allowing others to make plays, which is his greatest value.
Sal, What??? Cook literally had the 2nd best season of his career last year. Played every game and had 264 caries 1173 yds 4.4 avg & 8TDs, plus 39 rec for 300 yds & 2 TDs. I don't want him either but lets not act like he's not been the same player.
Gabe Davis is absolutely NOT a number two for the Bills. And no matter what Matt Bové or his "numbers" say, defensive coordinators at the end of last season had it easy to cover Diggs because Davis wasn't a threat, hence Diggs' frustration. Nobody that has that drop rate can be called a true number 2 with the Bills or any other SB contender. And if you think that Davis is enough for the Bills to compete for the SB against teams that actually HAVE a true WR 1-2 threat, you are embarrassingly mistaken. As for Ed Oliver, I agree with Sal. Do I like it? Well… not so much. Have never liked the idea of paying players big money just for the potential. I think that kind of money you pay to players that have actually earned it. A spark here and there is not earning it, but only time will tell if he was overpaid or not.
Davis is a must keep. Just rewatch the Steelers game on the 75 yarder where he rips the ball from Fitzgeralds hands and scores. He also burned two DB's on the 98 yarder. Big guys don't do that a lot. He saved the playoff game against the Colts with the incredible sideline catch I still can't see how he made it. He did it again against the Dolfins here last season. He's a stud. he dropped a few. Big deal. What he offers is way more than what is detracted.

Don't hate ,he actually has a contract that is kosher with dt along the board the num is right now hopkins then trade the little drama boy diggsand a 3rd to Dallas for a 2nd 3rd 2024 and lamb with a 2nd in 2025
