Thoughts on playing iron shafts through the set vs. wedge specific shafts in 56/60? Any general pros and cons? Ball flight?

I love how Trottie said the the player is the Boss. I can't stand the fitters that tell the player they need to play this. Especially a good player. Good players just need guidance and they can make the final decision.

Where does trottie do these fittings?
I was just fitted for a MC, 770 combo bag myself. However, for the 770s we decided to make them weaker rather than the MCs stronger.
What are your thoughts on that approach?
The the 770s are the 3-5 iron.

Trottie I'd love to spend the day with you. I only had one fitting ever. Start golf about 10yrs ago when I first started to suffer with my PTSD. Golf helps me so much but fitting I had wasn't a good experience. Fitter had no banter didn't offer much advice and basically fitted me for the first irons we used. Would have loved to have a guy with your knowledge and love for what you do fit me.
