    The obsession with Carmelo is so ridiculous. Winning a freaking title as the best player on a team is the holy grail. I already have jimmy over guys like dame and Melo…. we're here to win guys. And jimmy has 3 seasons where hes been closer than all of their season combined…. And he did it with no superstar next to him.

    The only reason they were considering trading Jalen Brown is the Nets expressed interest in a possible KD trade… every other trade offer that’s included him they’ve told them to go to hell.
    The problem this year was they don’t have an actual distributor point guard … Marcus Smart is so hyper obsessed with proving he’s not just a defender, he dishes the ball to these guys when they’re in terrible positions, hoping they will dish back to him so he can shoot threes that he misses.
    Jaylen Brown did turn the ball over a lot but it’s because he was nervous … a lot of shit went wrong, and he is not a ball handler just like Jayson Tatum isn’t…. They are Devin Booker’s. Look what happens when Devin Booker is the primary distributor, tons of turnovers and stupid plays because they did not grow up in that role. They were so elite at cutting and slashing and defending that every team they’ve ever been on put a pure point guard distributor with them. Who’s entire job was to feed them the ball…. Then all the sudden we’re surprised they’re not great primary ballhandlers because they’re learning how to play the position in the NBA? Also, you have a rookie head coach that struggles to adapt in game. Versus the best adaptive team in the entire league who changes their entire profile from quarter to quarter…. If you notice Joe Missoula does do good at adjusting but it takes 1-2 games. It took Spolstra 1-2 plays to adapt so the players were always reacting to new looks and never comfortable.

    It’s like fighting a knockout artist, whose much bigger and stronger than you , but he can never get comfortable because you’re changing your stances every two or three punches.

    Stevens coached multiple teams that overachieved and should've never gotten as far as they did, then gets moved to a new role and manages to pick up Ime and sign players that essentially fit every niche the Celtics needed at the time (Brogden, White, Kornet, etc), then extends Mazzula when he handles what should be a disastrous situation and Ime doesn't look like he's going to be coming back to the Org, no one could really gameplan for all the assistants leaving during the season leaving Joe to basically do the heavy lifting himself. Idk about you but I like being a contender year in and year out instead of blowing it up every other year ala the poverty teams in the league who've never had sustained success. Only teams who have done better than/as good as us in the past decade are Milwaukee, Toronto, and Golden State imo, Lakers got a chip in the weirdest season ever but were dog water for 7 years and needed the best player of the generation to come and now are probably gonna be dog water again, that can't be enjoyable as a fan. Stevens has given no indicator that he doesn't know what he's doing, dude has been great as a coach and GM. Also the CBA is gonna fuck everyone, not just the Celtics, you think the Bucks, Sixers, Cavs, Knicks, etc are gonna be able to keep those teams together long term? Probably not, the other Owners ruined a fun league cause of pettiness towards Golden State.

    Lmao Celtics fans are like Yankees and Cowboys fans:

    1) Havent won anything in over a decade but act as if they are supposed to win somehow based on dynastic runs they never saw

    And

    2) Super obnoxious expecting their own players to perform like legends just because of their uniform without realizing their organization has fallen back to the pack a long time ago and they dont enjoy the advantages they once did

    Cp3 does not belong on that list. Neither does Jimmy or jokic or harden until they win one. Russ is questionable but his triple double seasons are nuts… it’s a toss up between klay and Russ for me.

    Carmelo never had a team like to eat before Jimmy Butler got to the year. He was mediocre, mid-level non-all star come on mellow had dysfunctional Knicks and the Nuggets we’re the head coach didn’t like him

    KD may be a scoring machine, but he has never won a chip as THE guy. The 2 chip he has was Steph’s team. Not his. Couldn’t get it done in OKC, Brooklyn (even with Kyrie and harder) and now the suns as the main guy. Put Giannis, Kawhi and Wade over KD, they’ve won their team a chip as THE guy. (jokic to if nuggets win)
