  1. I think West Coast could have a flash in the pan type season to push for a spot in the 6 to 8 range. There is still enough quality in the senior group of Naitanui, Shuey, Gaff, Mcgovern, Sheed, Kelly, Darling, and Barrass. On one hand high draft picks will help the rebuild, but I would like to see guys like Hurn and Naitanui finish their careers as part of competitive teams.

  2. I agree we are better off with a key forward than a big ruckman who’s been on the slider and isn’t worth the money his on😊

  3. Grundy was at his prime in the 2018-19 seasons and he was slowing down a fair bit as of late. I can see now why Collingwood felt it was unnecessary to pay $950,000 yearly for him. This new style of footy that Collingwood has adopted makes them more adept to having strong key forwards like Mcstay. I'm betting on a 2024-25 premiership for Collingwood. They'll find their proper footing this season, really cement their game and take it home in the year after once half of Geelong's list retires.

Thats my hot take at least

  4. Grundy will be huge for Melbourne. Allows 31yo Gawn freedom to push forward at will. 211cm nightmare defensive match up for opposition. Trading masterstroke by Dees. Pies paying 300k/year of Grundy’s salary for 5 years makes it even sweeter!

  5. Grundy does not take marks around the ground.
He will never replace Gawn in defence and does not take enough marks to be a threat in the forward line either.

  6. Gawn has probably got 2-3 years left. By the time he retires Grundy will be his age now, which will enable them time to develop a new guy. Grundy's move is more about the future rather than the present.

  7. 100% the decision to sack ratten is the correct decision irrespective of what Ross does. He was a completely incompetent game day coach who had a demonstrative record of mediocrity and underperformance. I think Carlton are also vindicated.

  8. Watched a lot of McStay closely over the years, main problem is he plays some sensational games, but in between some real ordinary ones, don’t think he is ever going to find that consistency to be elite.

  9. Not sure if anyone will get to Boomer Harvey’s games record, Pendlebury is a slight possibility, as is Travis Boak.

  10. Can't wait for Coll to miss the 8 an go back into there shell (cardboard box) ya beat 2 top 8 sides all year an your all saying ya gonna finish top 2. I'm mean ya lost to WC with half there team missing 🤣🤣

  11. Bucks involved it's all Collingwood, they need all the help they can get. To many close games last year not convincing enough. Flag is the cats to lose.

  12. Bucks saying you can't spend so much on the ruck role when he was at the pies when Grundy got his 1 mill 7 year deal seems odd to me.

  13. Everyone questioning whether this two rucks will work. The funny thing is Melbourne has essentially swapped Jackson for Grundy. With Gawn and Jackson they won a flag… what more precedent do you need lmao

  14. Because Cameron was doing his role well he made Grundy redundant and when you don’t need someone that’s being paid a mill you either get him to take a pay cut or you trade him. He then refused to take a pay cut so we got rid of him and yeah it’s about 130k a year we are paying but the rest of that cash can go to others or a FA at the end of the year that can sure up an area of the ground better. Now we have cap space and Cameron with Cox is a competent combo we can go get a player in another position. We need another KD or KF so we could go after Ben McKay as the KD option or even a Tom De Koning as a KF/Ruck option. That’s money far better spent and makes us a more even and better side overall.

  15. For a team lacking key fowards obviously a big bodied mcstay will be valuable. The issue is the kicking into the foward line. Fowards need to lead or have space, not try to take continuos contested marks all the time..

  16. So much for the break from social media. I remember you once said you wanted to make better quality produced videos too like some other youtubers, lol
