Golf Players

I traveled with Paul McBeth FOR A YEAR | I learned 1 important thing…

For those of you who don’t know, I had the privilege of working for Hannah and Paul last year as Pauls videographer. During that time I learned a good bit about Paul and his routines. Of those things, I believe this one to be the most important.

  1. I think Paul throwing his shots back to his bag is probably another important aspect of his routine. Throwing back to your bag requires you to throw smooth/consistently again to get close to the bag, and you also have to control your power and shot shape for that specific disc as well. Overall, I think it's a deceptively simple but effective practice routine.

    Also great video as always!

  2. love it, bout to go do that, been working in a new bag this year and I'm pretty terrible with my shot selection.

  3. Great video! Watched to the very end to hear the real question "Which version of ME is throwing the disc". This could be a topic in itself.

Btw, nice distances Mikey, for smooth throws 🙂

  4. This was cool! Nice bit of observation that led to a cool tip and an entertaining video. Love it

  5. I've done something similar. Throw all my putters, get a general range I can expect from them, then the midranges, fairways, etc. That locks me into a range I can expect, and then I pick the category based on distance, and stability based on shot shape. Adjust as needed for conditions and what I feel I'm capable of in the moment.

  6. I do this, only been playing since August and is probably why I do so well for my experience. Accuracy and disc choice makes the game easier.
