  1. Gunter, why did you fire someone based on their nationality? Not very inclusive or diverse is it?

  2. Some people have given Guenther so much crap over Mick, and a lot of it has to do with their love of his father and wanting legacy, but legacy is no guarantee. Mick isn't going to be a great driver…because of his dad. He's going to be one if he has the skill within himself to do that. Everyone knew the cost cap, Mick crashed the cars on his own. Like what exactly did people want Guenther to do? You can't make a car better if you don't have the money because you're paying for repairs. I'm not saying Mick didn't do this, but you as the driver have to take on responsibility for your drive. No amount of hugs or screaming at a driver is going to improve them, they have to figure that out on their end and how to maximize their own performance.

  3. Gunther Steiner is funny, loud, quirky as somone else's manager.
The fun begins when he is your manager…thats when opinion changes…

  4. I wish more bosses were like Guenther. Brutally honest and supportive that the same time. They don't often go together well

  6. Like his personality and sense of humour. However, I have absolutely no idea how he's managed to stay in his role despite consistent failure in every season since 2018. No young drivers developed. No hope for car to even be a consistent midfield contender. No development on the commercial side of the team either. Haas are simply wasting a garage in F1 which would be much better off in the hands of an Audi/Porsche/other US manufacturer. They should either leave the sport soon or get their act together and hire team execs, engineers, and drivers which can actually give them some success in the future.

  7. Guenther is a rock star! He’s a big part of the Drive to Survive success and that in turn made Haas worth close to £1bn. Hopefully Gene cuts him a little slack these days.

  8. I listened to this on Audible. Absolutely fantastic book. And very funny listening to his expressions as he describes events.

  9. A very well conducted and entertaining interview. Guenther is refreshingly honest and has a great sense of humour. A credit to Motor Sport.

  10. Fascinating interview, I like how down to earth he is, this podcast has been a breath of fresh air

  11. No comment….. A Teamchef…………. uses other worts………………. May the sheeps follow him…………. I think all the rest has his opinion on him ……..
