In a first-ever Monday finish, a three-way shootout for the Claret Jug was one for the ages back in 1988.
Defending champion Nick Faldo, then nearly man Nick Price and fan favourite Seve Ballesteros all contended at the 117th Open Championship.
Battling the elements – and each other – who would be crowned Champion Golfer of the Year?

We need another Open at Lytham, it’s been too long. Great to see Seve firing on all cylinders 👏🏻
Full final round please
You guys are beyond lazy. You've badly edited together footage from the tournament highlights which have been available for 20+ years on video and youtube. The poor work and constant recycling of the same material (repeated versions of the same play offs and best shots) is inexcusable considering resources at your disposal. The full final rounds of the 70's + 80's championships should be released, just like the Masters and US Open have done.
Put final round on please
Seve Ballesteros ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
