Every Golfer Can Get a BIGGER TURN Doing This (No Gym Required)

I changed from an arms golf swing to a body golf swing and never looked back. You will hit farther and straighter when you use your body in the golf swing. Many golfers swing with only arms and it causes ball striking problems. By using the body, you can get more hip and shoulder turn – which means more distance.

  1. Would it be possible to do some videos on the driver? I've been able to drastically improve irons strikes with the videos, but the driver is lacking.

  2. I'll keep trying. Had a 5 handicap 20 years ago and just inconsistant today. Will use this as my swing thought tomorrow.

  3. Great advice Tom. I notice that your feet are turned outwards a bit too which is something that really helps my hip turn. I used to keep my feet very square which is no good for me. I point my toes outwards now and also lift my left heel off the ground a little bit in the backswing. It really helps me. I'm going to add in the buttons to the sky philosophy too after watching this video 😊.

  4. “Buttons to the sky”the missing link to my hogan arms & gorilla glue.Got my new right hip on May 1 and I’m excited to play without the pain last four yrs.Your tips are like the Gospel had to hear it a few times before I got it.1Cor15:1-4

  5. i like Tom, but i'm in agreement with Paul Wilson on this one. your lead arm does not have to stay ram rod straight the whole backswing. it's the wrong focus and was a killer for me. i'm more relaxed and loose now with better results.

  6. Subs are going strong, from 201k to 231k in 2 months🎉congrats, you deserve it🎉🎉

  7. Tom, thanks for being with me at the range yesterday. Well, figuratively speaking; because now whenever I practice I apply the knowledge I've aquired from your teaching/videos. I feel empowered, with all this knowledge you've imparted…and yesterday while hitting driver 260 yards (with an out-dated driver not fitted to me) shot after shot with a baby draw right down the middle, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, like stealing candy from a baby, although I'd never do that. But it was all possible because I now take the driver back more flat and to the inside like you said. Less effort, better results!!!

  8. Buttons to the sky back swing, then point left butt cheek to the horizon behind you for first move on the downswing.

  9. Nice to see your staying clean cut Tommy. Now I’m trying to use my body and not just arms but on the down swing I feel like I’m spinning and falling forward.. I’m trying though. Keep up the good work.

  10. Great Lesson as usual. Since I have been in your online training program I have been using buttons in the sky every time to give me the body swing that I need to hit the ball far, without any effort. If I have to try to much, I'm not doing it right. If this is the only thing your doing right in your swing, so many other things fall into place without thinking about them. You get the hip turn, knee turn, shoulder turn and it put your hands in the right position. If your someone who shifts your weight during the swing it would fix that to, a lot of the times. In the training program I have learned that keeping the weight forward works best for me. For me just understanding the proper way to get the weight on the lead side and keeping it there throughout the swing properly was a learned skill that I learned in the program. Before the online training program I watched all kind of youtube videos covering all kinds of shots and methods. They helped, but I never really put a swing together until I started putting it together in the Saguto Online Training Program. I now do have a great swing, to where if I don't get to play for a week, my game doesn't fall apart. It has no doubt made golf very fun, where before the program, I told my wife I was quitting golf. I had told her about Saguto golf and she watched a video and said join now. LOL. I'm a happy camper now and loving every minute of it. I'm excited every time I play because for me Saguto Training is very interesting, fun and the results in my game in 4 weeks has made me very happy.

  11. How are you not on the tour? Every time you release a vid you've hitting the ball perfectly.

  12. Lol….. you do not stare at the sun 😂you keep your eye on the ball 😍love love love your videos!

  13. Hi Tom, love your videos. At 49 I’ve been playing golf for 40 plus years and have spent 25 years with a single digit handicap. Now it’s dropping. My question is I’m left handed, throw with my left hand, kick a ball with my left foot etc. However I play golf right handed. My new club pro asked me why. The only answer I had was both my father and late grandfather who I followed as a kid both played right handed so I started using their clubs before my father got me my first set. Should I change? I know I’d be starting almost again however I’ve got at least another 30 years. Very interested in your thoughts, just subscribed. 👍😎🇦🇺

  14. I sure wish i had the flexibility to do that. I now know why my 7 is 140 now instead of 165 like it was 10 years ago.. you sre a great teacher for the flat bellies lol

  15. Tom I enjoy your videos and online school. It is helping me improve. After a couple of months my swing is coming together. Thanks for all you do.

  16. Idk if there’s something going on with my golf school account, but I can’t start a discussion, I can only reply

  17. I tried this in my backyard hitting net just now (after a frustrating day on the course, thanks mostly to inconsistent contact with my irons). I felt a noticeable increase in clubhead speed (no official numbers, but the thud into the target was much louder than I'm used to!) and not a thin or fat shot to speak of. I was happiest with the fact that, like you said, it was the only thing I had to think about. Thanks Tom, can't wait to take it to the course!

  18. Denis S. Thank you for getting back to me. Sorry, now I am really confused. Push down and away with the lead leg so the hips can clear? Can you please offer another feel or example?

  19. There reason hips won't move is very very much (100%) in the posture itself …. by that i mean how LOW your hands are at setup so one if well enough over the GRIP of the club with their body….. also at the same time one can NOT push shoulder away from the body BUT ACTUALLY towards the ground at setup IF ANYTHING… no shoulder squeeze or un-natural push/pull … everything is depending on the body relation to THE GROUND …. The video … as thousands of more on YouTube don't show these parts well enough…. so people in all kinds of BAD SETUP is going to make this turn BUT need to stand up or even dip miles down to be able to….. so again … HAND LOW and SHOULDER TOWARDS the ground… NO pressure anywhere….. best of luck everyone…. ;)))

  20. great lesson, today I finally realized that this is the key move on both sides of the swing, great contact with so much less effort. Thanks Tom

  21. Pitching to 7 iron, same swing. Crispy contact. Thanks to you Tom . Your coaching shows in my 8 handicap in ONE YEAR of golfing.

  22. Too much talking, not enough info. Should not take 9 almost 10 minutes to say the same junk “ button to the sky, button to the sky, button to the sky….”
Bro your style is banal and prosaic. Say something interesting and innovative. Yawn !!!!

  23. Hey Tom I broke 40 again on Saturday! 39, this time on a tougher course. I swear if it wasn’t for your channel I’d have probably quit golf a couple years ago. Thanks!

  24. Great video Tom will try to remember it but it’s easy to remember you made it look easy. Tap tap tapping it😊

  25. I just want you to know that your videos directly influenced me to get some KFC for lunch after my round Saturday.

  26. Tom in the early days seems like you were stack and tilt. Is that still your main teaching but have just changed the words you use to describe stack n tilt or have you moved in different direction
