This is painful to watch..

The Winnipeg Jets, who had their best start in franchise history through 12, tied a franchise record through 20, sat at the top of the central in December and as recently as just 8 weeks ago, still had a nearly 96% chance at making the playoffs, have since seemingly fallen off the face of the earth as they are now holding on for their dear lives simply holding onto a wild card spot just 2 points ahead of the Calgary Flames dwindling their playoffs chances to now just 61% in a Western conference that hasn’t exactly been a powerhouse. Losing to a last placed San Jose Sharks team and hearing contradicting answers from Mark Scheifele and Dylan DeMelo in regards to the game style they need to play, its got me beginning to question if this hot start the season could become a complete disaster for Rick Bowness and the Jets. I cover it in todays NHL hockey video!

  1. When a coach goes as far as to bench players you have serious issues that need to be taken care of. These are grown men and not children to be punished in such a manner. If you think these guys are losing on purpose you would be sadly mistaken. Time to lose the power tripping boss/employee BS and get back to having fun which is what sports is all about. The Jets could still win the Stanley Cup and shut all you whining nay sayers up once and for all. Go Jets Go!!!

  2. Bowness' strategy as a coach has always been to rely on the star goalie and hope for the best. This guy is a bum.

  3. That eye roll from Bowness signaled that Scheifele might get benched next game. 💀

  4. ever since schieffle ran that habs player after the empty bet goal, I've questioned him as a person and this adds to my theory that he's not a good personality

  5. The work you put in this channel is somethings else, keep up the good work!

  6. It's not surprising when your top players don't give 100% every shift and don't work as a team, without that team cohesion shit will fall apart real quick as we have witnessed with the Jets time and again. Remove the problem players ASAP.

  7. Get rid of 55, and 28… They want to be cute with it, they can be cute with it on other teams. But right now, there are players on that team that are trying, but aren't given the time or line they need to succeed.

  8. They are not very good as a team and they were just playing way above their level earlier on in the season. Remember when a lot of writers were writing off the Avalanche?

  9. Rick Bowness has a long history as an NHL coach that takes good teams and makes them worse. Prove me wrong.

  10. Called the Jets as a paper tiger early in the season in spite of the great start benchmarks listed in this video. The team wasn't and isn't that good. Hellybelly was the reason for the early success. And, he can't do it all all season. Jets finish 9th.

  11. The Jets are too easy to play. If teams stop them from scoring there is nothing they can, or will, do to get back in the game. Winnipeg has guys who will step up if they have to but they fighters of last resort but each of them are key to the Jets play in other critical aspects of what the team need to get or keep a lead.

DuBois is supposed to be their number one center. Lowry is the Jets top shut down, face off and PK center and Brendan Dilon is their biggest defenseman who is key to Winnipeg's PK and D against opposition top lines.

There are no Jet's out there on any given night "stirring the pot" …except DuBois and teams are happy to take our the number one center.

Unless Logan Stanley is in the lineup, the Jets do not have an agitator or an enforcer that can do the job without causing tremendous repercussions in other critical aspects of the game. Somehow Winnipeg coaching staff leaves a 6'7" 245lb defenseman out if the lineup up then bemoans that the Jets need to "play bigger"…stupid actually. Stanley played on the road against the Rangers, Florida and TB…the Jets won all 3 and the Florida teams on back to back games. Winnipeg went home, sat Stanley and lost to Boston, lost to St. Louis went in the road again, sat him lost to SJ, lost to LA, barely beat Anaheim. Came home and dressed Stanley and beat Detroit 6 – 2. They sat him and rolled NJ 6 – 1 but kept him Logan out and lost 3 – 1 to the Flames in Winnipeg's own barn.

The Jets don't have a skill problem. The Jets don't have an effort problem. The Jets have a confidence problem.

  12. Hit the nail on the head. The way I see it, when games get really tough, you gotta just put pucks at the net..and fight for the goal. Finesse often destroys teams in close games with a hot goalie. The Maple Leafs have so often been guilty of that….passing and passing when they are the stronger team, to get the perfect shot…and losing the game. It's a very flawed strategy…fuelled mostly by the ego of players who think they're great shooters.

  13. The coach sucks. He's a friggin' dinosaur who has no clue how to interact with human beings. The end.

  14. you have an interesting way of titling your videos …i guess it's not as bad because you're a sports channel so no one will really watch your back catalog…

  15. If Chevy chooses not to move or isn’t able to trade Wheeler, Kyle Conner, Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellenbuyck, expect Rick Bowness’s remaining 1-year on his contract to be bought out. Bones has lost the locker room.

  16. Co-owners Mark Chipman and billionaire David Thomson (Canada’s richest person) parlayed a $66M investment (theft) in the Atlanta Thrasher into its Jets’s current worth of $600M.

If Chipman chooses to run back the current core group of players , the fans will stay away in even more numbers causing Chipman to threaten to move the franchise to the US.
